The Copeland Track, chopped

Seeing the beautiful scenery around Mt. Cook, I assume that would be a great hiking area. But walking is nothing we would consider on this forum, so I chose a slightly faster way to get out of NZFJ...

... up Waiho river, ...

... to pick up some more bushwalkers in NZGH Glacier Country airfield.

We went southwards over Westland NP...

... for the next stop: NZFH Fox Glacier helipad.

And now we "walk" up the Copeland Track ...

... towards Horace Walker Glacier, ...

... passing Mt. Sefton ...

... and leaving Mt. Cook behind.

Finally a steep descent into NZMC Mount Cook airfield for a change to a fixed-wing airtool for the next tour.

Super set from your latest wonderful flight.

Fantastic array of scenery.

... especially as all the scenery is new to me. That always gives me nice surprising discoveries.

N... N... Nice, Gerold. You have a talent for excellent pictures... :-)

N... no, it is just the scenery plus the (meanwhile satisfying) status of the sim.

Wonderful pics!!! I'm glad to see I'm not the only Hobbit on ORBX!!!

Adam.

I second that, I am also glad to see this. But you have a local advantage!

I'm glad someone can fly those things, I sure can't.  Nicely done Gerold! :)

Don´t be afraid Adam, the Cerasim Blackhawk is the most-easy-to-fly helicopter I have seen in the sim. She has an autotrim system, rapidly adjusting so that you can fly her quite relaxed! I can strongly recommend her, either for the determined copter pilot or when there is a sale.

Lovely trip mate! NZ is so much wonderful little airstrips. It's great to fly in that country!

That´s it, whereever you come (at least on the south island), there is some surprising detail. It is great to sim there.

Just last night we saw the movie "I Saw The Light".  A most enjoyable movie about a Country Western icon.  I enjoyed your song selection.

Stillwater ... I am enjoying the helo pictures.  Keep em coming.
