The Fairchild F24 was built in various versions between 1932 and 1946 and was known for its sturdy design and reliability. With its 165 hp engine this W-version would cruise at 110 knots and offered a service ceiling of 12,700 ft

In Yongai we are still parked next to the chicken whisperer and wait for our two passengers

As customary, the whole village came to say good-bye

The runway was pretty bumpy, but we made it in one piece

Wonderful set Bernd.

Great livery on your vintage plane, good to see you made it in one piece.

Obviously the man in the first shot was egging you on, what with the fully loaded old plane and the mountainous scenery you had to traverse.:o

Did your passengers have to shell out much for the trip?

This post has just made my day, the old aircraft and the paint job are amazing, your story telling and real life mix is setting the bar at new levels, if I could vote for the best short flight story this would be a front runner. This is the kind of feedback that makes developing so much fun.

thanks heaps for all the extra effort

cheers

Ken

Are the RL shots taken by yourself?

Those pictures were taken by me and/or my wife quite some time ago and as you can see, some of them are due to their paper origin by now of some dubious quality ;)

Congrats to such an extraordinary tour!

And to me the quality is only second priority, however it appears to be quite good.
