Leaving Europe southbound with Air France...

... towards the big desert. Dry rivers at her boundaries should look like this:

Descending into Douala, Cameroon.

A river final...

... and here we are. Ready to change to more bush-style equipment.

And heading eastwards into the country, ...

... crossing Sanaga river.

Not the best views in the afternoon, downwind into Yaounde:

But finally it works, there is a runway behind the houses in front. Though, these autogen houses are totally wrong here...

We´ll change equipment here for the next part of this journey... wait & see!

Very nice shots of this long haul trip. Thanks for sharing

cheers

The long haul was the one with longer preparation, the shorter one with the more tricky landing. Whatever you like in the sim...!

Super-brilliant story telling flight!

Thank you, Bermuda. It is also a test of default landclass (well, we know the result...).

No baits out there, don´t worry, John.

Excellent bush flying!

Greg

My pleasure, Greg. And the bush has not fully begun (will it do with default landclass? we´ll see...).

My goodness! That's really a corner of the simworld that one does not get to see often...

Thanks for sharing these pics.

Mallard

You´re welcome. The FTXG world is bigger than we usually use, still a lot to experience. And now just imagine OpenLC fully released...

Lovely stuff Gerold. Always great to see the more out-of-the-way places and great shots too. You may have inspired me to resume my Cairo to Cape trip!

Great idea...following the Nile, over the mountains, rifts and big lakes... sounds good!

Great start to what is going to be an interesting trip.

I just wonder how long it will take for all the OLC regions to be completed. What a massive task it is.

The great thing is that once OLC is finished they will have to come up with the next part of the metamorphasis!

Thanks Martyn for working back here in the forum. I hope you enjoy this documentation!

Nice set of somewhere I have never seen

Indeed, taph, an area where regular tourists are not often met. (Still enough for numerous toll stations to survive...)
