  1. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/is-honeycomb-aeronautics-out-of-business/605220/226 This is an ongoing discussion on the Honeycomb products that may be of interest to customers of their products.
  2. I saw the fix on Avsim, but in any case I have reported the issue to MSFS on their bug reporting forum. Apparently there are a number of issues in Canada, and probably elsewhere as Kim suggests. No big deal, just have to live with these little issues.
  3. Found this over Victoria on Vancouver Island - I don'y have any scenery for Canada beyond the default, is anyone else seeing this or am I just 'lucky'?
  4. The trick is eating the bread and not the coal, best to stay sober....anyway in these enlightened days the misses should take a turn ๐Ÿซข, .......yeah good luck with that.
  5. Probably as a result of a vast amount of hot air in the vicinity of Canberra.......๐Ÿ˜‡ Australian Federal parliament is there for those overseas who aren't familiar....
  6. A well know Ozzie politician (I won't name him here), IMHO a reptile (could be an insect I suppose), shook hands with him a few months ago. Had to check to see if I still had my watch and all the fingers left afterwards. Does that count, Roger ?
  7. Re Birds:- https://www.southoakco.com/support I have installed FS Birds, why I am not seeing any birds? First, please ensure that you are loading in the correct region that is covered by the FS Birds package that you have installed. Next, please verify that that in your Flight Simulator content manager, FS Birds shows as being installed. If it is not, please re-install. Rest assured, the birds are visible frequently, especially near the ground (like most birds in the real world). Each bird model is in an animated loop that flies in various directions around that center point. Some animation loops are as large as one mile, so looking for the birds at the center point of that loop is not the most likely spot to see the birds. Additionally, you can find the birds animation center point in game via the following method (PDF file with how-to pictures, click here๐Ÿ˜ž 1.Enable developer mode in the game. 2.Enable the debug model LODs via the developer mode. 3.Use the drone camera to move towards the LODS that appear in the air. You should be able to see "Floating" LODS in the air, which is where the center of the bird animation is. The birds should be nearby. Start by looking near any runway end, there should be birds nearby every runway threshold in the package. If you have a 3rd party airport covering the area in which you do not see the birds, please see the topic above.
  8. Not to get into any conflict and I'm only expressing an opinion here, but I think you answered your own question. "Not a slight at Orbx, more that this is a 700 bundle pack, whereas where another developer is working on an area, it's a much narrrower focus so should be higher quality". I think that Orbx is addressing a market where a lot of people just want one package to cover a large number of POI. Obviously you and others are seeking higher quality and that fine, but it is still a big ask to expect Orbx to be compatible (as in not conflicting) other products (even partner product as their devs may not necessarily be aware of all other POI in partner products). That said I do agree that Orbx should as a matter of course provide kmz files with locations etc. A big thanks to John and Airtrooper on that count. As I said above not getting into any forum wars here just expessing another opinion on the subject.
  9. I think you are being a bit unfair expecting Orbx to know whether their scenery is compatible with every other dev's scenery. I don't think any dev could do that. Obviously ther are going to be some conflicts but they will get resolved as and when they arise. BTW I have no connection with Orbx except as a customer on occasion. Brian
  10. Absolute respect for the Vets and indeed the performances in these video's but what is it with all the throwing rifles about - it must takes hours and hours to get the choreography right not to mention the cleaning of equipment etc. I mean its a show and its impressive but why?
  11. It's one of the family, cat, dog, budgie whatever the loss is just as deep as any family member. Been there and it really hurts. At least the little girl died at home in comfort. Really sympathise with you.....
  12. About the same as when they tell me their hobby is book binding or gardening or knitting of even golf. It depends on the person and whether they have any frame of reference to understand what it is and the challenge involved. Frankly I'm not that worried about it.
  13. It's October by the way, its good to stay up with current events....
  14. I got the one for Australia East, didn't see a lot of birds, though they are there. Performance impact was virtually zero. For what they are I'd say they are overpriced probably $5 Aus would be right, at 10 they are sort of marginal. That said they are quite startling at times - just like real flying, suddenly there's this black spot whizzing by at a few meters away. So as in so much of Flight Sim it's whatever floats your boat.
  15. Have a look in the forum, it's been answered several times. Short answer is yes you will have to buy new scenery. Trouble with software is it doesn't wear out it just becomes obsolescent. Look at it this way, if you bought new horse shoes back in the 1920's you couldn't use them with your new car in the 1950's, different operating system.....
  16. Try this, should give you some help and insight. It really isn't that hard
  17. Orbx don't comment on stuff like this. Check out the forum where others have asked similar questions. Seems even the moderators and some staff don't get info on this stuff. But it doesn't mean it won't happen, eventually, maybe.
  18. With respect, and I do mean that, you need to get out more......
  19. Saw quite a few at the state parliament, not sure if they were sloths or monkeys, some were definitley great apes......
