  1. anyone got any idea what these are, I noticed that they show up on the email after a store purchase but I can't understand what they are. I have looked around the MSFS site and some other Sim sites but it seems no one really has any clear idea what they are or what they are for. Brian
  2. Or if you are flexible try downsizing to the FREE WBSim/JPLogistics Cessna 152 Enhancement Mod which is a really good 152 implementation with true charateristics. Plus the price is pretty good too....
  3. You don't need to stay positive you just have to assess the impact on yourself, accept it and move on. You don't have to look far, generally, to see others far worse off than yourself, which is usually a positve for me at least.
  4. According to Psychology Today, 60 percent of human brain matter is made of fat. According to me in politicians this increases to 99.999999%
  5. Very nice, remember when we had puppys (dobermans) should keep you busy. Brian
  6. Yep, thats interesting. Everyone has their view on W10 / W11. For myself I'm non partisan on that issue. They are just slightly different OS doing the same thing (for my purposes at least). The VBS issue is interesting because in some cases they are turning it back on (W11) but maybe they figure that W10 is not their focus now so they are not so bothered (and hey if people run into trouble because it was turned off in W10 thats a bonus for them in promoting W11, buts that me being cynical). Eitherway it would not put me off going W11 on a new PC. Personally I think MS have made a barrier with W11 based on processors and TPM etc that is the main reason people are staying with W10.
  7. 3rd Para down Walton further observes that Tom’s Editor-in-Chief, Avram Piltch, runs Windows 10 Home and hadn’t touched VBS since clean installing the OS last summer – but VBS was switched on with that system, too. Again, we can guess this happened via an update at some point (though note, we don’t know this for sure).
  8. Article says Win 10 has the issue too. So I wouldn't hurry moving back to W10.
  9. I found the same as above and the water up the walls of the canyon in Milford sound. I've unistalled NZ mesh now and it all seems OK. Would be interested to know if this product is going to be modified or abandoned. Brian
  10. Caribu apparently does have reverse pitch props according to the msfs description.
  11. AS above C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages but only if you did the default install. If you didn't then the community will obviously be wherever you selected it.
  12. Rename the community folder to community X or something and re load and see if it shows then. I think there is something in there that conflicts with the one from the ms store. (yep I understand the product is bought at the store, but sometimes an add on can conflict with the mas store product)
  13. Hi Anna, and thanks for the update, I have to say though the idea of products which you cannot buy with "normal" money ie ORBS only is , well, bold. Frankly I don't think that one will fly. However I've be wrong before, good luck. Brian
  14. Well done Don, I play golf with a 90 year old (and his handicap is coming down !) so you got some more mileage yet.
  15. Go to the ms store that's the marketplace in the sim, down at the bottom status display you will see go back and next to it contents manager. Go to contents manager, search for the item you want to remove and click on it, (you should see a tick mark on the right of that product afetr it is clicked on) at the bottom right you should see Delete ? or is it isn't installed it will say install? (I am going from memory here so bear with me). If you have some CJ4 add on in the community folder, I'd remove these at least temporarily until you see the product appear in the planes list again. Sometimes a community folder item can stop a plane appearing usually if it is a performance add on or similar. Good luck.....
  16. Hi Stephen, go to https://orbxdirect.com/ in any web browser and log in with the normal password username combo. There you can see the wonderful range of MSFS orb range available (sorry, just dropped into sarcastic mode for a moment). As you will have seen the orb freebies are less than stellar and not much of a loyalty inducement for most. Also I don't think the management monitor these forums and if so they don't ususally comment. Brian
  17. Unusual though, normally a single engine failure would be a PAN call, Mayday is for dire life threatening issues. As most (all) twin engine passenger jets can fly with a single engine then although the issue is serious it was not a Mayday - unless of course there were other issues. No doubt this will all come out in due course. As you say a wonderful result whatever the semantics.
  18. I am beginning to think Orbx don't really monitor these forums as there seems to be no reaction to the various comments. The orb issue is what it is, Orbx will do what they do. Orbs are free and if there is nothing worth having then you haven't lost anything.
  19. Payware, I expect that sort of thing with freeware but not payware.
  20. Has anyone else noticed an increase in 3rd party devs going dark, recently I have seen a replay util become unresponsive to updates/support and similarly a sound enhancement util with a broken product after (I think MSFS SU11) very silent in terms of support or updates. I wonder if we are beginning to see a trend here or is there an issue with SU11 that is causing a number of products to break? Brian
  21. answered above, not a feature of Flow, which instead provides a convenient panel view for all views.
  22. not sure waht you mean by assign a key, can you explain?
  23. All you need to do in rename the community folder in your default location. It will not delete anything. Once you have determined if that solves the issue you can name it back and all will be as before. Then you will need to find which add on is causing the issue by taking them out one at a time. If this process does not solve the issue at least you know it is not an add on issue.
  24. I cannot see why the choice of airport would affect control assignments. I don't have a Bravo device but even so can't see why it would be different in this context. Suggest that you disable all add on's by renaming the community folder temporarily and then check if bravo works OK with default a/c. Then add the Fox back in and try again. Also you might want to make sure that you have the latest Bravo drivers installed. Is the issue that the control assignments just 'disappear' or are they assigned incorrectly? Brian
  25. Yes, the orbs are a customer benefit for loyalty but the sudden uplift of price (or down value of orbs) is not encouraging from a customer point of view. In fact speaking personally it has a negative impact on brand loyalty. A more sensitive approach with some warning of when the points value would change might have been nice (like after Christmas for example). But, hey, orbs are still free and Orbx has a right to do what they want in the market place.
