  1. its ok just got it - pity that the trim is still reversed as compared to default a/c - what I am coming to expect from Iris sim.
  2. Hi Ed , any news on this - still no update at Orbx yet. Brian
  3. I see that this has been released by Iris - can you tell me when it will be available from Orbx please? Thanks, Brian
  4. And as a final note I see that Iris has taken the Jabiru off their own website so that does not exactly instill confidence in the long term support for their products.
  5. As of October 9th Iris still have not updated their product, I again asked and was told we are going to update but no idea when. Customer service does not seem to be their priority so quite honestly I will not be buying again from them and frankly I would not recommend others to do so. Very dissappointing.
  6. John, If the CH uses repeat key commands it will work fine, only an axis binding has the issue. Brian
  7. IRIS has been in touch, they seem to prefer Facebook / messenger for interaction rather than email. An update is in the pipeline but no date as yet. BTW they are not alone many planes seem to have the reversed trim/axis issue - another V5 update issue it seems.
  8. I have sent a request off to IRIS systems today but am posting this in case other have the same issue. I have seen that IRIS does not seem to be very responsive to some of the support requests that I have reviewed on this site so it will be interesting to see if they respond promptly to this issue. I understand that this in not an Orbx product but never the less I bought the product from you (Orbx) so I am posting this here. The issue:- On the Jabiru 160 /170 version 1.45 (which I think is the current version): The trim assignment when an axis is used - as distict from a key assignment - is reversed since MSFS update 5, so forward trim / nose down is actually giving a nose up movement. This is as compared to MSFS included aircraft ie C152 etc. The keyboard assignment seems to work as normal. I have seen a similar issue on one other aircraft (which has now been fixed). Any feedback would be of interest from existing Jabiru users. Brian
  9. Not sure if this is a Orbx issue but flying south west towards the Menai bridge (going onto Anglesea) there is a road which goes under the bridge and into the water with traffic on it (going underwater). Landing by seaplane you can actually bump into the traffic (unseen) as you go under the bridge. The bridge looks good and is accurate BTW. Brian
  10. Or, seeing as this is a simulator, you could just set the pilots to a weight of 10 kg (25ibs) and that should do it too. Hard to do in real life though.....
  11. Hi John, In general I totally agree with your comments, however if you put a 70Kilo passenger in the Optica she flys without any bias (just tried it). The Jabiru does not seem to have the same issue so just wondering if there is something that needs a little tweaking. Like I said in the other post it's not a real big issue and I'm not 'bagging' the aircraft at all, it was just an issue raised by a couple of people, for all I know the real plane may behave just like this. Cheers, Brian
  12. Just a thought, I have noticed a slight tendency to roll left - only slight. I have set the weights and balance but only one pilot no other person in the cockpit. I am wondering if this is enough asymmetrical weight to cause a slight left roll. No idea if the real a/c has this. I did not notice the left roll when I had the default weights and balance which I think includes a copilot but I have not really investigated this properly as yet. As I say just a thought.
  13. Oh and I forgot to mention the thorny issue of Laptops which trying to use TPM with a external chip module might be an issue.....
  14. Sounds like windows 8 all over again. MS aren't stupid they know that this limit will cripple the take up of W11 and will doubtless provide a work around or alternative else they won't get all the new 'sexy' features engaged with their customers. I too have PTT and 7 series showing not compatible and am not likely to get too stressed by things. Interestingly even if I bought a TPM2 chip it looks like it won't work so are all those companies out ther going to trash their 7 series cpu's because of win 11 - no and similarly in the home/ entertainment area. Just be cool and wait until things work themselves out.....
  15. There is only a basic hold mode (alt/hdg etc) auto pilot in the Jabiru - its a ab initio training plane after all. You need to spend anothet 100K for a better more sophisticated plane . The Airbus works well in auto pilot but bush landings are an issue. Same with Boeing.....
  16. Abriel is correct, BTW Jabirus is set to '0' Brian
  17. There was a survey on this and there was an even split on those accepting the bug and those that wanted to wait for a 'clean version' of Melb. Orbx appear to want to wait rather than get a bunch nof abuse by releasing a product that appears to have a bug (not of their making). Who can blame them when I see some of the rants. Use some freewear for now there is plenty around that works ok until Orbx do their thing. Brian
  18. The plackard shows that at a weight of 77 to 100 Kg there should be 15gp on the nose. What is 15 gp? I know that in the real Optica you hang weights on the nose or tail to get the correct centre of gravity but I've never heard of 15gp before..... maybe gravity position ?? Or is this just a typo ie gp should be kg might make sense (which checking the balance in sim seems to suggest this is in fact kg in which case it is a typo and therefore a bug) Anyway an answer would be appreciated. Brian

I'm sure I am missing something here
