Fantastic shots, and a standard landing for us here. Too high, not in line and the speed brakes already out. Like we learned in the air force!

Does this bird have another pair of wheels under the belly?

Dump landing.

Below minimum 6 feet above target.

Undercarriage was not amused.

Extra wheels - Appears so from the images I found on line.

I researched this Gerold by loading the variants at Leeds:)

DC-10-10 & 10F: no middle pair of wheels.

-30 , 40 & their freight variants, yes, they use a middle pair.

The good old DC10. Ghana Airways had two of them plying between Europe and the US  - when they were fit to fly. More often than not one of them was stuck in maintenance at Kotoka Airport. One of them is now parked outside the airport and has been transformed into a restaurant https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g293797-d6000697-Reviews-La_Tante_DC_10-Accra_Greater_Accra.html
