Orbx's Africa OLC.

Another random trip, this one 4 hours.

We start at FGBT, Bata, Equatorial Guinea to HKEL, Eldoret Intl., Kenya

FMC flight plan at the ready.  Unfortunately there's so SID for this airport.

Nice start Jack ... Lovely blue largo on behind the m'angoisse :) An unusual empty airstrip : you could find animals and people and somedays a full market B)

Thanks Jean Marc, I agree, the Orbx LC is nice but the default airports make it so I no longer want to even fly there.

Beautiful shots. Lovely to see so many Africa shots!

Thanks Eberhard, I may not fly there anymore and for the same reason I don't fly in Orbx's South America, a lack of good airports.  I don't buy third party airports or use freeware so although Africa is nice the airports are horrific.

But a dearth of decent airports makes it a love/hate relationship.

I can totally understand your opinion.

But I am more open to 3rd party vendors if

  1. there is no scenery from my most-trusted vendor (who made the move from FSX to P3D so simple!)
  2. the quality is good or at least acceptable
  3. their business model has proven as reliable as vendor 1.) (I still have some Axxoxoft airports that do not work in P3Dv4 - 3 years after the change, and they let us even pay for the adaptions)

In other words: Like you I do not like to waste money, I rather invest it.

If it's Dublin, I might help you I think.

No, Lars. It was Munich (bought other one) and Nice/Nizza, awaiting the Cote d´Azur cityscape. Plus some planes they just do not maintain. No go for me...
