I was once driving past Melbourne Airport as a Singapore Airlines A380 was taking off, and it didn't appear to be more than 100-150 feet above my car. It was quite a sight driving underneath it. It was like the opening scene of Star Wars with the Star Destroyer that keeps going and going..... . I'm sure my mouth was stuck open for the next half hour.
