VH-KDK
An IFR flight in the Mid Pyrennese region of France looking for something special. It's time to strap on the trusty Paramotor for a flight of discovery. Just in case you are wondering I have been flying other than with the paramotor today.....'onest Guv! 1. A dreary dawn at LFCM Larzac Airfield. 2. Following the E11 La Meridienne. I imagine that many people from Europe know what I am hoping to find. 3. Only 10 miles to my destination and now on the edge of the River Tarn Valley tells me the surprise is near. 4. There it is through the misty dawn, the tallest cable stayed road bridge in the world. 5. The Millau Viaduct , the road deck is 270m above the ground. 6. At 343m high the tallest mast is greater than the Eifel Tower. 7. Put it on hold for a couple of minutes to make a cuppa (thirsty work flying the paramotor) and the mist had vanished. Bummer! 8. The deck is 2460m long, and curved as you can see here. 9. Flying under P2 and P3 just above the ground to get an idea of the sheer size of the tallest towers. 10. Flying towards Millau along the Tarn River. 11. Over Millau which sits in some spectacular valley scenery. Myself I don't think the bridge spoils the view, just adds to the grandeur of the valley. When OLC first came out I did a flight along here and was a little disappointed there was no bridge at all. But you cannot have everything and now I am very pleased. The bridge is freeware for FSX and P3D and as you can see it works really well in P3Dv2.4. The only fault is that the ends of the deck do not quite blend in with the vector road but only a small fault. Saw a programme about the building of the bridge several years ago, just an amazing feat of engineering. Here is a link for those whom are interested. https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/6844/fsx-millau-viaduct-scenery/ Hope you enjoyed looking. Stillwater
Fantastic tour & flight, and thanks for the hint - I did not know that viaduct so far! Good to see you use real weather, despite of a slightly bad visibility. Real pilots have to face the truth!

Fascinating flying in the poor visibility, also made the appearance of the viaduct out of the mist exciting. Annoyed that the mist disappeared when paused for 5 minutes.
