  1. Yes Scott thats the one - and it is one of many using the Duxford scenery since it came on recently - including myself for a load of screenshots which of course I cannot show on Orbx I am just about to watch the second -------Thanks for the info !!
  2. For years I have been making videos of things - mainly family or holidays -and recently a few simple sim videos However - some of the more recent videos shown on u-tube - not just reviews etc - but definite productions with multi angles and Multi aircraft - and I saw one at Duxford using fire engines to dowse a Lightning engine fire How did they get the engines to move around for example is there anywhere where one can get advice on making these videos - especially the 2020 ones?? - any members of this forum amongst the above Spielbergs ??
  3. Hi John We are well off topic but here goes That's one of the 2 A/c I mention - but got it from the other big freeware site .to and this has a Kingair cockpit - not a CR4 one like the other
  4. JFYI - there are a couple of freewares on the main freeware website Good enough to play around in - one is a community build - and somewhere ?? - Asobo announced one coming to 2020
  5. Here you go jack - an easy way for you - and everybody - to use the drone with your yoke button
  6. Does that mean you are in OZ - and if so - I Know you don't give a @#$ - but it's grossly unfair to have to be part of a scheme which had priority over individual customers . I dumped telstra because of their crook internet service some time ago and -Yes - I know its my own fault if I am still bereft 1 X box BTW - how long were you waiting before you got it ??
  7. Lucky you - its 21/2 years since I first brought up this sim and X box on forum - and been on wait since to get my hands on one when that happens - it WILL replace my junk PC and I can then also enjoy my HDR 10 @4K - PS Craig - you forgot to mention that it cost you $us500 - not $us3000 for a similar PC
  8. ED -- I have to assume you know these 2 guys -Home | Shunt Scenery - and their quality ? Another Auscene?? Their Sunshine Coast is a beauty and Orbx Quality - and their Caloundra is'nt too bad Getting them to do a Gold Coast would be a brilliant purchase from Orbx
  9. No ! - I said somewhere else that the probable reason why so many smaller developers are coming to us via Orbx's Central - is they are looking to the future- and that's what Marketing is about - research and planning for the next step. It is logical - that MS will not want to deal with a Pot Pori - of suppliers - hence the bigger boys like - Orbx - Just Flight - etc who have successful years of selling and installing scenery and aircraft - will provide a wholesale supplier to MS - and MS - for a fee - (as discussed earlier) - will give Orbx JF - etc - the entry into the huge X Box World market via the Market place section of the sim There is another element to be considered-- in that a major part of the 2020 sim's success - is the huge influx of tiny - "hobbyists" -churning out massives of scenery and and other bits and pieces - like mods. - that enter into the sim via the Community files - which doesn't exist- at least at the moment in X Box I refer of course to the screaming success of Flightsim.to - and I can only forecast that these blokes - will get an invite to join the Orbx - Just Flight -etc - wholesale consortium - and work out a method whereby - all this very successful addon stuff - can make it to the X Box as well. They are already selling this 3rd party stuff themselves on their web site around 10% more than the producer's own web site. In summary - a Community type installing system will be made available in the X box software - via the Market Place for chosen wholesalers - as is already occurring with 3 or 4 Orbx sceneries - for some fee or addon price DSC structure Don't ask me how Orbx etc - and MS - handle Tech support - unless they take responsibility for supplying regular updates - which seems to be a policy - of MS currently with X Box games
  10. A little earlier - Ed told us that Orbx were working on something similar - and is certainly a need - because there are a few items - again as Ed said- are already available on Marketplace -which as far as I can make out are around 10% more than on Central - which at first I thought that might be the sales tax - but then both advertise prices MUST include the tax in Australia. (Unfortunately - when I get the X box - I have already purchased these items via Central) The assumption is - Orbx sells to MS - and MS add a margin Whatever the situation - Orbx should move heaven and earth to get their product onto a console that has sold almost 7 million despite the World Wide shortage
  11. I just placed a small item on the Neil Hill Oldie section on a particular download of one If interested -
  12. Gumby made a statement elsewhere a couple of days ago in that we oldies love our vintage aircraft so I thought I would share something that jumped out at me yesterday Many years ago - most of you might remember a movie called "The Bridges at TOKO RI " starring William Holden - Mickey Rooney and a few other well known faces of the time However - the star of the movie in my opinion - was the Mc Donnell Douglas F2H-2 - and yesterday I came across a new site - to me anyway - of Warbirds - and the latest releases were for 2020 - and one was the F2H "Banshee" --- and the other a beautiful example of an old British post war beauty - the Hawker Hawk - the carrier fighter bomber You will find them on Add-Ons Library - FS 2020 - Military Jets - SOH Forum (sim-outhouse.com) Needless to say I have put a few hours in both of them since
  13. I used Auscene ( Southport My Local) once - and recommended them to Orbx - and they made them Partners along with NZAA I now recommend the 2 local young blokes at Shunt Scenery - these 2 are going somewhere - and their Sunshine Coast YBSU is a chip of the Orbx Block.
  14. Sheesh !! - and I was only joking - couldn't believe the invoice receipt - and the empty ring in Oceana store best 10 bucks I Never spent Merci Bien Mon Ami - ED
  15. Thanks Mate - here's an oldie for you Tahiti would be nice !
  16. Ah - Rose bay to Grafton - those were the days and What a difference 2020 makes to the scenery
  17. Thanks Ed Story of my life - just too quick for my own good - my old Mum used to say -- Hope it matches the Gold Coast Freebie for the advertising ??
  18. Where can we find this - price etc - can't find it on Central - or on announcements
  19. I see a few on the freeware to pages - in fact somewhere around 30 at the last count - even little Inverloch in Victoria- and one I got leaves the Gold coast default way behind - and admitted by the developer that he could use a little help ------ ED C ????
  20. Just to add to what Nick has said Not that I have any intentions of updating to W11 - but I did check to see why my mid range PC - won't upgrade? I used the MS software to do a health check and this is what I got as to the reasons why I cant upgrade It seems that W11 has increased security and needs 2 slight alterations - which MS will do via the settings pages for you if you follow their paths in settings /security
  21. Most will know that the latest "Mandatory" update is available by the normal means and is around 5GB However !! - I quickly moved to profile after the update finished and was surprised to see Windows 11 "downloading" - but it was but a small download of 500+MBs. - and it sits in the download section of profile I wonder why MS did this - maybe something for the future - or in my case - it stopped when it realised that my PC will not upgrade to W11 In W10 - there is in "Updates" in settings - an Update available - 21H1 - which turns out to be W11 I did a shut down and restart - but everything was as is in my W 10 Curioser and curioser !!
  22. FYI - to ad to all that is said foregoing in this thread - I stumbled across an easy solution to the OP question and added it to the MS discussion forum -
  23. Thinks - a Flashing Light Bulb Maybe they have all worked out that Orbx have - "probably" - done a deal to represent all of them when Orbx solves the problem of supplying product for X Box series S and X - which one - ie me - can only access their addons via "The Marketplace" on the Booming console market My confidence - and patience - is that Orbx will solve all these problems - caused by an unforeseen size - of this market change - before much longer - and long before I can get my hands on a series X
  24. Great shots - of a great City - of a great Airport - looks like you enjoyed yourself
