  1. I only use drone cam on the ground, to check out new scenery but thanks for posting these instructions they will be useful...if I am using TrackIR then I tend to stay in the cockpit and pause TrackIR if I want to view outside or maybe take a screenshot... was using TrackIR the other day, low and fast with our latest plane we are testing, just looks amazing in MSFS.....
  2. I saw one of these for real and couldn't believe how small it was...I think I was at RAF Cosford at the time...
  3. very nice shots, some lovely scenery....
  4. yeah the drone is superb for exploring the airports and cities, just load a plane at a park spot and then switch to drone, very simple controls.. I read in another post you watched a video by Squirrel so hopefully you are now all sorted...
  5. magnetos were issue for me then I used the checklist, after a while it's all remembered as there isn't a lot to do is there?
  6. superb shot, however one question, summer? when was that? oh yes one week in July...
  7. Happy Birthday Landon, hope you have a great one...
  8. great shot, nice little find to, great memories I hope..
  9. @renault thanks for the input Pete, I run at 1440 at use the preset 'Highend', I do have fps set to 30 and honestly I am happy with what I am seeing, maybe as more complex things come along that may have to change. I have actually been very surprised at how well my 1070 does seem to cope with most stuff, I get what I think are good visuals in all 3 of my sims. As for the future and how much things will cost I guess no one knows but let's hope at some point we do get back to a more realistic price point for our hardware purchases. Wayne
  10. I maybe incorrect but I thought it was a case of hitting Active Pause, then Drone camera to take a shot whilst in flight, then back to normal camera and unpause...drone camera is used a lot to explore whilst on the ground...if you are flying and you put the plane on Auto pilot you can go to external camera to look around the aircraft...but like I said I may be wrong...
  11. nice shots, are you saying that your other controller doesn't work whilst in drone mode? meaning you can't fly? that would probably be because you are flying the drine, maybe try active pause when flying to take shots..
  12. @Sniper31 @Nick Cooper thanks both for replying, I have had a little more time now to look around at things and I now think waiting is probably the best option, a new GPU would probably mean a new CPU which are now different socket types, that means a new Motherboard. All sims are running fine and any other stuff that I use runs extremely well so sit tight is the answer, but I do appreciate your input.....
  13. @carlosqr great posting, that church looks an amazing building, really stands proud in it's surroundings....is Puntarenas original like that or a man made island/ that to looks lovely..
  14. great shot Bull.....gotta love that plane too...
  15. I found even in other sims, using Ctrl+e or XP start with engines running on some planes though the engines were running not all switches ect were correctly set, the Optica only takes a few minutes to start...
  16. only if it says so....not sure much does at this time...
  17. I have an oldish 1070 @ 8gig. Lots of 3070 8gig cards about, also 3060ti but not sure if that's worth the bother, I can get a 3080 here in the UK but really not keen on spending £1300 on it...it would be paired with the rest of the items at the bottom of my post, might be best to wait for prices to drop and then maybe get whole new PC.....any suggestions?....I think I am probably on the limit now in XP & MSFS with current card, performance in all 3 sims is mostly 30+fps but more importantly very smooth.....looked on Benchmark and it's all just numbers, biggest worry would be getting newer card and going backwards...
  18. great shots Pete, was probably early hours as the airport only receives a handful of flights after midnight....
