  1. A scenery addon is what you purchase or obtain as freeware and enhances the scenery like the True earth addons you have in your scenery_packs. With Orbx Central you are able to create a "Library" outside of the actual XP11 installation onto another or other disk drives. You create them and name them and then you link them, via Orbx central, to the XP11 directory/Custom Scenery folder. Seethe attached User Guide and look at page 19 It appears that is what you are currently doing. I have made slight adjustments to your scenery_packs.ini. scenery_packs.ini Central User Guide.pdf
  2. They look like True Earth. You can tell by the various colouring of the ground textures etc. I have slightly adjusted your scenery_packs for you. Nothing major. scenery_packs.ini
  3. A couple of ways to check. First make sure the True Earth files are in the Custom Scenery folder and appear in the scenery_packs.ini The other way is for you to post a pic, outside view looking down and I will be able to tell if its TE. When you post a pic amke sure you tell me what TE addon it is supposed to be.
  4. I will need to refer this to our Developer and Orbx central colleagues. @Marcus Nyberg @Ed Correia for comment please
  5. @Marcus Nyberg for comment please.
  6. Sorry about the feedback that indicates no change. As far a s I am aware there is no difference in content from the DD version to the Orbx version. Only the installation process differs. We have checked the installation and it is correct. To check if there is any conflict with another of your addons please conduct this small test. Rename your custom Scenery folder to Custom Scenery.x Make a new Custom Scenery folder. Copy and paste EPWA and Global Airports into the new folder. Run XP and exit Make sure EPWA is above Global Airports in the scenery_packs.ini. Choose a flight at EPWA and report back please.
  7. Try this revised scenery_packs,ini. Replace your existing one with the one attached below. scenery_packs.ini
  8. It has been quite a reported issue when flying jetliners or similar and the cpu/gpu combo unable to keep up with the loading requirement. Low and slow normally has none of those problems plus a fast SSD or NVMe. USB 3 helps as well.
  9. Please attach a copy of your scenery_packs.ini as it may be a layering issue
  10. There are several instances of that kind of error message when studying the XP log file. However, they do not affect performance or the addon's integrity unless these error messages appear On Screen. Many are remnants of previous OrbxLibsXP files. Do you get an On Screen message about missing files
  11. Here is a reworked scenery_packs.ini. Replace your existing one with this attached copy and report back please. I am hoping it resolves your issue but even if it doesn't, keep this one as it is correctly layered. If the issue persists we will pursue other avenues of investigation scenery_packs.ini
  12. Your scenery_packs layering is all wrong and other addons are masking some of the Ture Earth content. I will get back to you with a revised Scenery_packs.ini
  13. Thanks for the clarification. The difference in ground texture quality is minimal as you would possibly have experienced if you have used Orho4XP and chosen Zoom Level 17 vs ZL16
  14. Please attach a text copy of your scenery_packs.ini
  15. I believe you are reporting something similar if not identical to this topic: Also here:
  16. Hi Can you confirm that you get no On Screen error messages please. If you have a complete and successful installation then the reason you are seeing blank areas is that your GPU/CPU combo is unable to load the scenery in the time required, Try a low and slow flight in the default Cessna 172 and report back if the issue is resolved. As John Dow suggests, really an outside spot view looking ahead/down is needed to see the exact issue. Your current pics look OK if it was from a high altitude looking towards the horizon, so it does not show the issue that I believe you are reporting. Also please attach a text copy of your scenery_packs.ini
  17. @a028654b7d Please clarify what you mean about the SD version. You say "Too bad. I do fly low but it truly doesn't work." Do you mean that the ground texture is not good enough for you? An Orbx Central "Library" drive does put symlinks into the XP Directory Custom Scenery folder at least in Windows it does. 95% of my addons are in Libraries I made and are symlinked to the Custom Scenery folder. Please clarify what you are suggesting. Thanks
  18. As far as I am aware (from my installation of LIEO) there is not currently an option to turn of Static planes in Orbx Central either.
  19. Orbx Central will know that you have paid for the addons. The paid for items will appear in Orbx central under the My Products section. As your addons appear to have been deleted then Orbx central will offer you the option to install again As a tip for the future, ANY failing of MSFS 2020 that requires repair/reinstall etc, make sure that prior to performing anything, you rename your Community folder to something like Community.x. That way any repair etc will just create a new Community folder (empty) and all you do is delete the new empty folder and rename the Community.x folder back to Community. That way you lose nothing in regard to addons
  20. Thanks for the info. You are probably going to require a full uninstall and then a reinstall. Trying to "patch" things normally doesn't work well. Do you have Backup files option enabled? If so then delete any Backup copy of TE Oregon. Also click on the Clear option for the the Temp folder. I am not sure you need the forward slash with your newly pathed Temp folder /tmp/. Just /tmp should suffice. however I am not at all familiar with Mac/Linux/Ubutu OS Reboot PC At this point you have a choice of which version of TE Oregon to install. Unless you fly regularly under 1500-2000ft I would strongly recommend you choose the SD version. You lose virtually nothing in regard to texture quality. The HD version is Zoom Level 17 and the SD is Zoom Level 16 Here are the benefits of the SD version as described in the product page of Orbx Direct : Main benefits of the SD Version: Much quicker download and install - no JPG conversion Much shorter loading times Much less GPU memory useage Upgrade to HD version whenever you want Same experience as HD Version > 2000FT Completely stutter free under load 25% of the disk space AU$10 cheaper Better FPS As you paid for the HD version you get the SD for free and can always upgrade again to the HD version. I would also suggest that you get an additional drive for such addons as True Earth. If your OS fails for any reason then you have lost XP11 and all the addons in one go. Never a good idea to have a single drive for all your programmes especially sims. You can get like 4TB external drives USB 3 for under $100 which I use for TE addons.. I also use the SD version of all TE addons. Let me know what you think.
  21. A couple of observations. Your Temp folder seems to have subfolders. Your pic shows this: /tmp/Orbx/temp The path to your temp folder should only be like this: /tmp (with no subfolders) Secondly I need the info I requested in my initial response Quote I also request to know the amount of free space you have on your Disk drives and which disk drives you use to download onto and also the disk drive you install into. The download disk drive will be shown in Orbx Central/settings/downloader section unless you have moved it to a non default place. Also please attach a copy of your Orbx Central log file. End quote Can you also advise if this is the first True earth you have attempted to install? Here is a link to how to install TE addons and particular attention needs to be focussed on the frre space requirements and how to free up space, move your Temp folder and also move Backup files if that option is selected
