  1. I really like that first shot especially with that sun glinting through the clouds like that...looks way cool
  2. Looks like a nice flight, weather notwithstanding Have to ask though, on the run from something ?
  3. Stunning Marcus...stunning! So much detail in these shots....I saw The Lady in Red, I saw what looked like some kind of interview or newscast from the Best Western balcony, all kinds of super looking billboards and ads, details galore on the actual buildings of the airport, the tarmac...I could on. This looks to be quite the scenery package
  4. Actually John, my LOWI in MSFS does not look so hot at the moment...WU6 brought up some huge terrain spikes in any of my scenery in the Alps. Don't seem to have them anywhere else, just in the Alps. Flying in Orbx Alaskan mesh in MSFS right now and everything looks great, no spikes. Go figure
  5. Some screenshots from a pleasant evening flight out of and around Orbx LOWI Innsbruck in my trusty A2A Piper Cherokee. Additional scenery is Orbx OpenLC Europe. Flight taken in P3D v5.2 Cheers! Landon
  6. Yes, the eastern edge of Colorado Springs is 20ish minutes away (and encroaching...lol). The neighborhoods out this way are nice and we have a great view of the eastern edge of the Rockies. I go for a run every morning and am greeted to a majestic view of Pike's Peak on most days. I say most days because even though my neighborhood sits on what is considered prairie/range, we are still at 6000' elevation. As a result, Pike's Peak and the surrounding mountains do get obscured with clouds from time to time, especially during inclement weather. Colorado Springs airports' runways are routinely closed due to fog and/or low clouds. The weather is interesting here to say the least, with harsh long winters, but very mild enjoyable summers. And, best thing as far as I'm concerned, NO humidity whatsoever, and very few insects...too high, and too much frozen ground during the winter. Love it.
  7. Again, thanks for all the nice comments everyone! Now, I don't fly my aircraft like Bond does, but his flights are much more fun to watch then mine
  8. What, no Lady in Red????!!! Still, quite a nice spread of shots here! Great work!
  9. I'm ready for ski season now Great, moody shots Adam!
  10. Congratulations Richard, a well deserved win with that screenshot
  11. Lol...actually, my internet connection is pretty awesome...I am on fiber optic and my download and upload speeds are usually around 900 Mbs...I usually don't experience any kind of slow speeds or anything, and between my girlfriend and I, we are usually each streaming a movie or YouTube video while I am flying and no hiccups at all. Also, I have no data caps of any kind. As to my location, even though it may look like the sticks, there are three military bases in the area as well as a ton of military contractors (Lockheed Martin has a huge presence nearby for example) so our data infrastructure in this area is very well established. It doesn't hurt that NORAD is also based nearby
  12. Some very picturesque real world shots!
  13. Just a single shot of the 007 Liveried BN-2 Islander flying over Orbx PAJN Juneau and the Alaskan Mesh in MSFS. Cheers! Landon
  14. That heli looks marvelous against that city backdrop! And clearance....who needs a stinkin' clearance anyhow?
  15. Just a few shots while flying out of Orbx KBZN Bozeman Airport and over Orbx NA Central Rockies region in the RealAir (remember them?) Duke, checking out the nearby Bridger Mountain Range and then also the Gallatin Valley on route back to KBZN for landing. Taken in P3D v5.2 Cheers! Landon
  16. Thanks guys! And yes Wain, the Optica does seem to excel at the slow exploration....it's one of the few fixed wing aircraft I have in MSFS that I can fly with one hand while sipping my coffee with the other. If something starts to get funky, I have plenty of time to take a sip of coffee, set my cup down, and put that hand on the flight controls
  17. I would love to join you at an MLB Baseball game...they are indeed a nice time, a little less hectic then lots of other sports. Generally speaking, here in the U.S. if you wanted to take your family to a professional sporting event, a good ole' baseball game is the place to go. I went to LOTS of games as a youth with my Mother and those are some of my fondest childhood memories. And, more to your point Wayne, I love the friendly, global aspect of the Orbx forums. I know there are many on here across the world that if I posted that I would be visiting your corner of the Earth, there would be a simmer from the forums here that would want to meet up for a meal and a beer or some such and swap stories. It's just that way with you all, even though most of us have never met in real life.
  18. Yes, this is one of my outlets as well for getting away from the real life drama that goes on across the globe. I have led an all too serious life during my military career, so flight simming and Orbx is a way for me to get away from things for a little bit, socialize with other flight simmers from around the globe and not have to be too serious. Of course, my other outlet is to simply go on a real life adventure or walk about somewhere, but I do enjoy my sim time with you all
  19. That animated train will indeed be a nice feature! I have really enjoyed that in some of the previous Orbx sceneries, so looking forward to see it in action at Bromma
  20. Some really good, colorful and bright city lights screenshots here! Love that livery on the aircraft!
  21. Wow! Lot's of very cool evening shots of such a brightly lit local. Cheers! Landon
