  1. Richard, I was by no means judging your flying, just having a little fun with it is all. I am the last person that would judge anyone's sim flight skills My comment above was more what my first thought was when I saw the picture.
  2. Lol...nice Richard...makes me think of what a flight plan would like in a similar type of movie like 'Airplane'
  3. Super crisp and colorful looking shots! Nice angles with the Grumman as well
  4. Yep, that's it exactly...seen it many times, but I just could not come up with the name...lol
  5. Thanks for the friendly comments everyone! And Bernd, thank you for that information on the USCGC...I always forget the name of that ship, but I should remember it since it's so unique.
  6. Wow, the Tirpitz in Alaska...it's like that movie (the name is escaping me) where a modern day US Aircraft Carrier goes back in time to when the attack on Pearl Harbor is about to happen. Lots of cool screenshots here and interesting theme
  7. I have eaten Texas Chili, but I personally make my own chili that is a bit hotter from what I've had in Texas. We have some pretty mean peppers available here in Colorado, to include lots of pepper festivals. My Father's wife is also Thai, so I have eaten lots and lots of spicy Thai food that I could not name. It's good, but definitely high on the inferno scale. But, like many others, my ability to eat hot food is slowly deteriorating as I get older. I still like some heat in certain foods (my chili for starters) but it is tempered now.
  8. Red skies at night! Great shots here with that Pepsi rocket
  9. My entry, Piaggio 149 on final to RWY 24 at Orbx EGPH Edinburgh in the early evening: Cheers! Landon
  10. Orbx partner Aeroplane Heaven's Cessna C140 taking off from KFHR Friday Harbor, flying by one of the ships from Henrik Neilsen's awesome, freeware AI Ship pack for MSFS: Cheers! Landon
  11. Wow Filou and Marcus!!!! Some incredible screenshots on display here showcasing what looks to be an incredibly detailed airport scenery package This will be a fun one to explore.
  12. Well, I wish there was a Twin Otter available for MSFS, but the aircraft in this screenshot is the MilViz BN-2 Islander. A good rough country plane, but no Twin Otter, that's for sure Landon
  13. Yes Nick, your suggestion is Official to me as always (and helpful as well). I was referring to the lack of an 'Official' comment on the MSFS Forum regarding the terrain spikes and the MSFS Marketplace update within the sim. I apologize if I did not make that clear in my previous post. Your assistance is always appreciated by me
  14. Some nice coloring in that screenshot!
  15. Nice looking shots Iain, they have helped catch my interest in this airport
  16. Exactly my point Nick, which is why I posted that information. I just wish the entire update process was more clearly explained by Asobo/MS. There was a very long thread over in the official MSFS forums about this very issue (with the terrain spikes) with lots of people having the same exact problem. The way I found out was reading through that entire thread and then, the last post was from another simmer that figured it out. I read every post and not once did I see an 'Official' person suggest to make sure to check the in sim Marketplace for an additional update. I guess some people are born with this knowledge, but I was apparently not privy to that when I was born At any rate, I am happy a fix to the terrain spikes is there, and happy to let others know. Sharing is caring
  17. Okay Nick, I got rid of the spikes. Seems there is an additional WU6 World Update that must be installed AFTER you install the mandatory update. Nothing tells you about this additional update, you just have to go into the Marketplace within MSFS and go to the World Update tab and purchase it for 'Free' and then install. Then, the terrain spikes, in my case, are taken care of and no longer an issue. So, that part is totally on Asobo/MS, but I wanted to post the 'Fix' here as it's not well advertised during the update process, and someone else may miss it like I did. As for the wind socks, they unfortunately are still very persistently present. In fact, I now count 6 of them....two in the middle, and two at EACH end of the runway. Landon
  18. @Nick CooperSo, after uninstalling Orbx 1WA6 and starting up MSFS and starting a flight at CZST, the pink plane is now properly textured. However, I still have two windsocks. Now, does this mean that I cannot have Orbx 1WA6 installed if I want to use CZST, or is there a fix being worked on for this issue that you know of? Landon
  19. I do have 1WA6 installed Nick, the one by Orbx. I'll uninstall that and report back.
  20. I have multiple windsocks and a static plane that is checkerboard pink: Th The second windsock is further down, towards the end of the runway. I don't use rolling cache, I have deleted my content.xml and all *.dat files in the SceneryIndexes folder as per Nick's instructions posted elsewhere. I don't have other CZST scenery installed. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers, Landon
  21. Hi Nick, I have done all the above and still have them. I did fully install WU6 last night as well as updated all of my free world updates. I do not have any other mesh products installed except for Orbx Alaska Mesh (no terrain spikes there that I have found). In fact, the only scenery I have in my community folder are Orbx products. I don't download or install any freeware into MSFS. Here is what I am seeing at LOWI after having done all of the above: Notice the four windsocks...two of them are almost right on top of each other in the first pic. I really have no idea what could be causing all this.
  22. This is good to hear. I flew out of there last night after installing the WU6 and I had three , yes three, wind socks at LOWI, and also a few huge terrain spikes right outside the airport.
