Plane or boat, it is air and sea navigation:D

"Good point!"   I am seeing things in the Orbx PNW,  waterfronts...that I have never seen before..like this for example:

Looks much like Powell River.:)

I circled around, and there are about four or five rusted out ships,  half sunk in the water...and it's some kind of Mill...lumber?  Why would they allow those rusted out hulks to be a navigation hazard?!?

Coming into that area of the production Mill...

Hi guys,

That's the Powell River Mill, part of the Pacific Northwest Ferries.  https://www.catalystpaper.com/facilities/powell-river-mill

They made the breakwater from old surplus concrete ships from WWII. Sort of an attraction now. At one time as I remember, this mill was said to be the biggest pulp mill in the world. I added it to the scenery because it's an obvious POI on the route from CAC8 to CAG8 to YRC. (I haven't done Lund yet, but maybe I will.)  There is an AI Seaspan tug that has a route that has one end inside the breakwater and the other at Stillwater to the south where you will see a huge surge tower.

Cheers

Fantastic tour, light and scenery details, indeed. And good that you did not show the bikini team, given the level of detail of the ship those would have been banned.

It's there, ...if you want it...but...the way to keep enjoying this hobby...and everything else I have accrued in Life...is to stay married, happily married...LOLOLOL.  I ask all viewers to Hugh Hefner a few cuties, or better yet...their wives or girlfriends onto the sun deck.  Believe me...in my mind...those recliners are full of our ladies enjoying the summer breezes...the fantastic PNW Orbx scenery...and the glasses of wine, the chips and pretzels we picked up at Pender Harbor...et all.  Yep...my mind is in full fantasy bloom...and again, having a BLAST at the helm of this beauty.  Oh...btw, you need pockets LARGE, not only to take ownership of it...but get this....each fuel tank-------> holds 8,000 (yes...not a typo) gallons, for a total of 16,000 gallons onboard. Do the math folks, with current fuel prices at dock....but...having typed that, a friend of mine, one that owns a Cigarette Boat...where we go muchly nowhere  at 80 miles per hour, once said out loud;  "If you need to ask about the cost of fuel, or how many gallons this boat takes to be full,  simply put, you can't afford THE BOAT!"   "Right'......".

BTW, I'm going to plunk myself (with crew and friends) down at most of the seaplane operations within Orbx-Word, and really see the work that went into all of the Orbx titles..and believe me...if you have P3D4.x cranked up to full everything...the detail...truly, is quite amazing as to the quality of these productions.  No schlock here...let me tell ya!  You simply can't see any of this fly over it, at 80 or greater knots,  hundreds of feet, or thousands in the air...let alone, have the time to really view the detail.

I am truly appreciating that P3D 4.4 is simply NOT JUST A FLIGHT SIMULATOR.  It is a total WORLD SIMULATOR. The water at Ultra, with all sub sections checked off...and being driven by a good live, weather program...well...one simply has to try this for themselves...truly!  With the Ultra setting, you even get fleck and flotsam on the water...and the waves and wind direction are always live time, changing by the minute.  For instance, as I came out of Pender Harbor....the wind changed in knots, and waves came in at around 2.0 meters. The sound of the waves against the hull...immediately noted that...and realism of-water environment plus 100!   Again...I am hooked on this, and can keep fueling up...by a few clicks of the keyboard...:)

"Oops....there was a mistake in the .cfg file...I did some research...so..."

800 gallons per tank...for a total of 1,600 gallons.  Not 16,000.   The amounts now shows properly...lol!   Even though...still more than I could afford in RL!
