Great to see an airplane originated in my country, specific at the Antwerp airport area of Deurne. SV stands for 'Jean-Stampe&Maurice Vertongen', the veteran WWI pilots duo began to build a factory in 1930 and as concurrent for the De Havilland Tiger Moth, the SV was created as a more agile plane for training purposes for the Belgian Airforce at their airfield of Goetsenhoven and used for training after WWII until 1975.  65 of that type(SV-4B) are build between 1933 and 1937 at the Antwerp-Deurne factory with a 125hp De Havilland engine.

The hereby shown model is simular but typed as SV-4C because build in France and Algeria(SV-4A) after WWII a total of 850 planes with a 140hp Renault engine.

Super shots of a superb little aircraft!

Amazing that it was still being used up until 1975, whilst the RAF dumped their Tiger Moths in favour of the newer Chipmunks.

Adam.

I'd love to have the old 'Rothman's' livery.
