renault
Renault tries heavy metal and waits ..... Warning - lots of screenshots! As always thanks for stopping by for a while Cheers R Here I am all ready to go at Southampton Intl and I'm waiting .... Its always good when you're not the only one . At least we have a plane I called for a pushback, but they told me they are busy and I will have to wait We might as well enjoy the views, as I don't have much else to do. Its my first big assignment and I've double and triple checked everything I should probably shut the engines down. No tug and no point in wasting fuel and creating more pollution. Hey , don't go there . I'm not shutdown yet. Well its your paint job not mine mate! Guess he didn't hear me, but it looks ok. Phew and on my first job even! Grounded before I ever got airborne Lots of stuff here, how did I ever learn it all.... Well, what I better do is get things shut off. We're definitely not going anywhere. When I call ground control , its like "Please stay on the line. Your call is important to us and will be answered in the order received" Well really!! I do feel like I'm a virtual prisoner of sorts. Razor wire not withstanding .... Good to know that others are still waiting I guess ... Yep we're all in the same boat. Ha, ha , get it ... a bunch of planes all in the same boat!. Good that I still have my sense of humour. Gosh, maybe its not so bad. At least we have a plane. Those lads are just standing around... OMG , do my eyes deceive me. A pushback tug. Please, please oh please be for me! Oh happy, happy days. Finally! At least he knows what he's doing. Me, not so much. I've just done the virtual kind so far... See you guys ... Tower says we're looking good. Thumbs up!! Thanks Mate! I'll just wait til he's gone. I didn't realize that you have to ask to be turned when you're being pushed. Oh well .... next time. I think its a command keystroke that I need to send him, but I'll get it sorted. And they're still over there ... just waiting. You could write a song - "Waiting, waiting on the tarmac ..." Come on now. Get a grip. You've got to prove to the guy in command that you can do this. Boy am I glad to see the last of that space. I thought we'd never leave. Now let's burn some rubber as they say .... Well not quite, but I glad to be moving finally. I actually felt myself grower older by the minute back there. Really, I did! Darned ATC . They want me to go all the way to the end. I just wanna fly guys! But I know one of them ... Dave , he's a good chap and he wouldn't have asked me unless there was a good reason for it. Well its not that far I guess .... Trundle, trundel, trundel on the tarmac. Gosh that could be the second chorus of my song ... Concentrate, man, concentrate! Piece of cake my friend. Piece of cake! Bonus shots!! Well, it turned out it really wasn't Bit of the old heave ho. And a bit o' welly and we're all good.! What's that you say. I wasn't supposed to do that. You mean the throttle? Oh, no you mean the other thing! And we're back All clear and its a go as they say Yes sir, I did check both ways sir.! Yes honestly! Wish me luck chaps! I'm waving , but you probably can't see me Old stone face beside me , doesn't seem amused .... See you Southampton ... Oh yes sir I did read something about those flap things ... What training college did I attend?. Laminar Research Sir. A fine institution as they say sir. XPlane class of 2019, with special commendation from Orbx sir! What's my experience. Well I have flown Cessnas before sir. Oh, you're not sure its the same thing? Oh ..... And we're up. You're right sir, It's definitely not the Cessna feeling. Another part of my song.... "You've lost that Cessna feeling ....!! Ta, da . Oops come on now, concentrate!! All is well up here , all is well .... So sit back, have a drink and enjoy the rest of the flight. I know I sure am now. Buddy here, said he's taking over and I can just relax and contemplate my future What a nice man to do all that for me on my first fight!! Jack Sawyer
Great shots and narrative Renault. But some questions. 1. Who's plane is this? 2. Does this plane come with the pushback tug? 3. Why did you have to wait? I love the 737 but haven't flown it much in XP (the ZIBO one) because every time they make a change to it they break it so I have an older stable one. But the real reason I don't fly it is because of cameras. Without ChasePlane and trying to remember how to use the menus to assign camera is a huge pain. I had a bunch set up then XP was updated and I lost all that hard work so I said to heck with it. I'd give practically anything for ChasePlane in XP. I just try to make the most of what I have The wait was a bit of artistic license for the little story Cheers R 21 hours ago, adambar said: Lots of shots is a good thing R, well done! From what I know folks are still using my now "old" preset that I posted in the tips & techniques section. I'm sorry but I don't do VR so I don't know how well or how badly it would work with VR Cheers Renault 18 hours ago, Iain Emms said: Grand set of shots. cheers Iain Thanks so much Iain! Jon Clarke
You have a very vivid imagination Renault, the result of that being some great immersive narrative to accompany some beautiful and well thought out screenshots. Kudos to you sir.
