I did mention in my DC-4 flight from Nice that the area around Grenoble looked worth exploring.

1.gg1.jpg

Flying out of LFLG Le Versoud at the town of Crolles beside the Chartreuse Mountains.

2.gg3.jpg

Over Le Touvet.

3.gg2.jpg

Mount Granier.

4.gg4.jpg

Part of the Bauges Massif, Mont du Nivolet and Mount Peney can be seen here.

5.gg5.jpg

Passing LFLB Aix-les-Baines. Just beginning flying over Lac du Bourget with Chambéry in the distance.

6.gg6.jpg

The Rhône close to Culoz with the Jura Mountain Range to the right.

7.gg7.jpg

The Rhône and the Valserine converge at Bellgarde sur Valserine.

I was going to land at LFHN Bellgarde, but decided to divert to Geneva instead. I didn't realise just how close it was. Keeping our height as a Beech 350, which you can see just below the tail,  is going to land before us

Now doing an orbit over Vernier to leave space behind B350, with the Rhône and the E25 visible.

Parked at LSGG with the other Beechcraft having arrived before us.

Hope you enjoyed this flight and an area which is well worth exploring.
