I was about to do a flight from Horovice but the elevation was all up the creek so when I went to choose a new departure point Horse Feathers looked interesting! I chose a green TM for Stewart and also for anyone else out there that had green as a favourite colour. 1. Nothing to see at the grass strip so here we are shortly after take off. 2. Close to Sperryville and Mary's Rock is one of the peaks in the Shenandoah NP. 3. Looking back from the same location with Route 211 prominent. 4. Crossing the Blue Ridge Mountains at Thornton Gap. Anybody else thinking of the wonderful double of Laurel and Hardy? 5. Neighbor Mountain is in the distance. 6. The town of Luray with Stony Man on the left horizon. 7. The George Washington National Forest in the Appalachian Mountains. 8. W45 Luray Caverns Airport and the Shenandoah River. 9. New Market Gap in Massanutten Mountain 10. Coming in to 8W2, New Market. New Market was the site of a battle in May 1864. 11. The North Fork of the Shenandoah River. 12. Safely down and the end of another flight. A great idea Paul, especially going way back over the years to see just how things have progressed. The 500 are just the ones on OZx image hosting since it was revamped, I have saved albums of flights since I first started posting years ago!
