VH-KDK Posted September 9, 2017 Share Posted September 9, 2017 Some more of Richard's excellent enhancements this time from Wiltshire. FTX ENG, FTX Trees, P3DV4, Flysimware Mosquito, REX TD EE. 1. Formerly RAF Wroughton the airfield was closed in the 1990s. To the right is the town of Swindon. 2. It is now a storage site for the Science Museum. 3. 4. Barbury Castle is an Iron Age hill fort. 5. It comprises of 2 ditches and ramparts and was settled about 2500 years ago. 6. The Hackpen White Horse, supposedly cut in 1838 by Henry Eatwell to commemorate the Coronation of Queen Victoria. 7. The Avebury Megaliths were constructed in New Stone Age era around 3000BC. 8. It is now a World Heritage Site. 9. At 129 ft, Silbury Hill is the largest Pre Historic man made mound in Europe. 10. People have a siege mentality now and it's not even here till Monday. I'm hoping it'll be a CAT 1 or less by the time it gets here but these things spawn tornados.
