KSAN to KNFG P3D 4

P3D 4 - Orbx everything and maxed out too.  Made a nice flight with AS4 & ASCA weather on from default KSAN to Camp Pendleton.  Was quite relaxing.

Sorry for so many and no aerobatics.  Very happy with the sky and water colors, took a while.

Excellent set Jack with some wonderful scenery.

Just watch out for that conflicting traffic.

Beautiful shots Jack. Did you "high five" with the pilot of that jet?:D

I cant make out how many fingers the pilot was waving at Jack!

Great set of images from KSAN, upgrading soon to P3D v4, can wait to fly around SoCal and KSAN without OOM crashes. Liked the west side shots the best -- La Jolla, Sea World and the coast up near Torrey Pines.

Hi Jack, slightly off topic, but I believe that you use PTA.

After installing P3DV4, I next installed Rex4 TD & SC.

I understand how they work together.

Today I purchased and installed PTA and also downloaded the free presets for PTA from the REX site.

If I want to use one of these presets in PTA, what do I do next?

Should I do that before I go to Rex4 and then P3D?

I tried to read their help guide but it seemed to cover the more complex areas and not the basics.

Any advice from you (or anyone else reading) would be appreciated.

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul, just got on the forum now.

As Adam Banks described it to me one is shaders and one is textures.  PTA is shaders and REX is textures.

So you can install PTA any time you want to.  I'd recommend using Adam's preset first and then experimenting with REX's.  In my opinion they have way too many presets, it confuses me and if you mix and match sky sets what good are their presets unless I'm missing something.

You can install either or in any order.

If you need more help lemme know via PM.

Sure did!  He even saluted my *ahem* bravery!

Thanks Martyn, and I thought he was pointing with that one finger, like, "No, go that way!" :)

Super flight and shots Jack! :)

Hey Martyn, maybe the pilot only had one finger, who knows. :D

Thanks Adam.  Yeah, he was pointing in the direction I needed to go. :D

Great series Jack! :)

Looks like you were playing a game of 'chicken' in shots 4 and 5 :D.

Thanks Paul, I think he won!

Very nice. I like that colors. Very natural and realistic, not oversaturated at all. That's how I like it too.

Thanks Senchay, that's the look that took me almost three days to get.  Copious notes and constant shutting down and rebooting the sim.

Thanks Mike!  I agree, I was always weary of flying and still am, 3.4.  This is such a beautiful area in Orbxland, I've been to San Diego a few times and have always loved it.

Very nice thread Jack....I bet that airliner was sweating when the pilots saw you climbing out! :o  Well done! :)

Thanks John, nah, they knew it was me, they were expecting me!  They even gave me a salute.  B)
