This is really how Magdeburg looks like... ... with its famous cathedral. The midland channel crossing Elbe river on my way to... ... Sanssouci. From there is is just a short VFR hop to Berlin, you don´t need any navaids here despite the buildings... ... to reach Tempelhof. Meanwhile closed, but still iconic. My mother and grandparents lived close to the airport during 1948/49, when thousands of trusty heroes supplied Berlin https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berlin_Blockade#The_start_of_the_Berlin_Airlift . What an incredible job was done with the Berlin Airlift, seen several programmes about it over the years and it still amazes me. I like the music too.
