A short flight along the Parana River from Buenos Aires to Rosario.

I don't know anything about Sol Airlines but the SAAB 340 is Argentinian so it will do.

1.r1.jpg

A pleasant surprise was the detail at Jorge Newbery airport.

2.r2.jpg

A reasonable looking terminal and a expanse of hangars on the other side of the airport.

3.r3.jpg

Passing the airport with the docks to the left.

4.r4.jpg

At Zarate wit an irrigation canal heading off to the horizon.

5.r5.jpg

Starting the descent into Rosario, in Santa Fe province.

6.r6.jpg

Laguna Pele,

7.r7.jpg

With a population of 1,275,000 Rosario is the third largest city in Argentina.

8.r8.jpg

It is the home town of Lionel Messi and Che Guevara.

9.r9.jpg

Rosario has a port which is able to handle ships of up to a 10ft draught although the channel needs dredging due to silting. Exports are mostly agricultural.

Sol Airlines is based at Rosario so that was lucky.

Hope you enjoyed the flight.

A good and safe flight. You shouldn't say this on a pilot's interview for SOL

Thank you Bermuda.

"Sol" must be branching out - they already make decent beer.  Like that Saab.

Yes, I can only drink Sol Cero when flying.

Thank you gents for your wonderful comments, greatly appreciated.
