VH-KDK
A short flight along the Parana River from Buenos Aires to Rosario. I don't know anything about Sol Airlines but the SAAB 340 is Argentinian so it will do. 1. A pleasant surprise was the detail at Jorge Newbery airport. 2. A reasonable looking terminal and a expanse of hangars on the other side of the airport. 3. Passing the airport with the docks to the left. 4. At Zarate wit an irrigation canal heading off to the horizon. 5. Starting the descent into Rosario, in Santa Fe province. 6. Laguna Pele, 7. With a population of 1,275,000 Rosario is the third largest city in Argentina. 8. It is the home town of Lionel Messi and Che Guevara. 9. Rosario has a port which is able to handle ships of up to a 10ft draught although the channel needs dredging due to silting. Exports are mostly agricultural. 10. Sol Airlines is based at Rosario so that was lucky. Hope you enjoyed the flight.
