  1. You are also making your own installation typo.

You are adding underscore, and saying

    _X-Plane11-5\

    versus this (from me)

    \XP 11.55/X-Plane 11/

    See the difference?

You need to delete the other installation references unless for some reason you are using all those versions of XP11, enter this

    I:\XP 11.55/X-Plane 11/

  2. @heinzight If you are on Windows go into Users/your name/AppData/Local

Scroll down until you see a text file called x-plane installer and open it with Notepad

Enter the path etc of where you have installed 11.55

    Here is my entry

    H:\XP 11.55/X-Plane 11/

I have it on my H drive so you need to copy this but enter the correct drive for where you have it installed.

If you are not using the other versions you could just delete them so you have just one installation entered. OC will pick that up.

  3. Glad it worked for you.. I have no idea why in particular Dublin EIDW was affected and reported many times by many people on the MSFS forum. I had not heard about an issue also with LFBD but cleansing the scenery index occasionally seems to be like a good maintenance practice.

  4. Both posts relate to lack of free space usually.

The first customer says that 2.5TB of free space exists, which I am assuming is the amount of free space on the drive he wants to install onto

However, that is not necessarily the amount of free space there is on the C drive (Temp folder)where the download and extraction process is performed.

For TEGB North you will require at least 60-70GB of free space on the drive that your Temp folder on it. Unless that folder has been moved then it is by default on C drive.

So a suggestion is to make a new Temp folder on the drive with plenty of free space (and preferably speed).

It is all explained in the link

  5. I need a copy of your scenery_packs not a pic of it please.

What airport are the  buildings not showing? TE Washington does not contain any airports made by Orbx. They are all default Laminar XP ones.

If you are talking about Seattle then you need to put the KSEA demo above Global Airports in the scenery_pack.ini ) and the LOWI one as well)

  6. @The M Didn't notice the scenery_packs in the Hidden file in your post.

You have 2 entries for SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/Orbx_A_US_Washington_TE_Airports/

    1666588495_2022-06-2222_45_05-USWashingtonHDmissingairportbuildings-X-Plane11-OrbxCommunityandSup.thumb.png.5ccbd5e5559fb253720635c3aeb09adf.png

Open your Custom Scenery folder and delete one copy.

Also move the Global Forests entry to below the TE Washington entries in the .ini

Report back if it resolves the issue.

If it doesn't then you will need to raise a Support Ticket giving further details of what you are seeing via a pic or 2

  7. A couple of years ago I wrote a tip about installing True Earth addons. It related to installing into XP as that is the Sim I am responsible for in regard to Support queries.

In that piece I mentioned the importance of potentially relocating your Temp folder as that is the folder that the initial download goes into and will temporarily start to fill your hard drive. This can cause issues of lack of free space which in turn can cause an unsuccessful installation.

Now we have MSFS and the largest files to download are currently Mesh files as there are no True Earth addons.

When we download we are downloading many, many zipped files in order to save bandwidth. These have to be unzipped in order to install.

You may have super fast broadband which will deal with the actual download, but the Unzipping/Extracting can take quite a while. This is depending on your PC specs but mainly on your disks read/write speed. So, the best solution is to place your Temp folder on the drive that has plenty of space but also consider putting it on to the fastest drive where possible. The folder is emptied at the end of the installation so all free space is recovered.

You will be surprised how much of a difference in installation time it can make.
