  1. I just had a look at the scenery packs and immediately saw layering issues.

The TE addons should be together and just below Global Airports.

Your Simheaven addon is incorrectly placed and overwriting some aspects of the TE addons.

If you check the scenery pack you submitted you will also see that the Orthos file for TE Florida has been placed 3/4 of the way down the Mexico4XP files and no where near the Custom and Overlay files for Florida.

I have correctly layered those major elements for you in the attached scenery_packs.ini.

I strongly suggest you do not use an organiser if you want the best layering for TE addons as I mentioned before.

The attached scenery packs should replace your existing one.

If you want to keep using an organiser I suggest you keep a spare copy of the new scenery packs and use it for TE flights otherwise you risk the organiser causing possible layering issues.

  2. Does it have a road visible if you rename your Custom Scenery folder to Custom Sceney.x and then make shortcuts for global Airports and the TE Florida files. Place the shortcuts into the new Custom Scenery folder. Make sure the scenery_packs is latered with Global airports above the the TE Florida files

This should determine where the " fault" lies

  3. Need details of what is not working please. Does it not install, does it not loads, does it loads but stutters, does it load  then freeze?

So much more info needed in order to try and assist.

I have rearranged your scenery_packs but it will not help until we here on the forum see what exactly the issue is.scenery_packs.ini

Maybe @Nick Cooper can pass the log file on to someone as it is showing errors relating to EGNM

  4. I had no need to change the name of the XP11 Orbxlibs as it has a unique file name already.

I do agree however that the scenery_packs layering is important to avoid Simheaven over riding the Custom and Overlay TE files.

As  a rule TE addons files should be together so I would suggest the following layering sequence:

    - True Earth Airports, Custom airports, Global airports, landmarks on top as you have it. But than:

    - True Earth Custom

    - True Earth Overlay

    - True Earth Orthos

    - Simheaven

    - Ortho4xp Overlays

    - Ortho4XPOrthos

The best part is that I don't even bother buying airports in MSFS because I've found it to not be worth the money in almost every case. It doesn't really add anything to the sim, whereas good airpots in X-Plane 11/12 make a huge difference. That is to say that Orbx is neglecting the market that would probably use and appreciate their products the most, especially with TrueEarth (given how bad the default XP ground textures are). Given that Orbx apparently just fired its XP support guy, it doesn't seem to bode well for us X-Plane users.

    Inexplicable, really.

    Just to clarify

I wasn't fired but deemed not required. The flow of Support requests has greatly diminished for XPlane.

  6. You could also check your XP graphics settings and screen resolution.

The best thing to do is just rename your Custom Scenery folder to Custom Scenery.x and then make a new Custom Scenery folder.

Drag and drop the TEGB South files into the new Custom Scenery folder as well as EGLC (Orbx version) if you have it.

Then drop both OrbxLibsXP (XP11 version) and also the XP12 version of the Orbx library.

You need the XP11 OrbxLibsXP because it containing "objects" needed by EGLC

Run a flight at EGLC and see if the buildings are still blurry.

You may think it is the same as "disabling" other scenery but this method ensures absolutely nothing else is in the scenery_packs to potentially conflict.

  7. Not sue I understand what you mean when you say

So can I symlink direct from the Orbx files instead of from XP11?  I wasn't sure if that would work, but in my early symlink testing I did realise I was in part using the direct library link, but then corrected it to using XP11 only.   Look forward to your advice!   I also have your XP12 library installed.

The symlink needs to be from the actual installed addon files directly.
By that I mean if in XP11 you have installed into a library, then you need to open that library and open the folders of the addon you want to symlink and then symlink those folders
.For example take TEGB South. You need to open the location that actually contains the 4 TEGB South folders of Airports, Custom, Overlay and Orthos. then pick those 4 files as the Pick Link Source. Drag them over to the XP12 Custom Scenery folder and then Drop As/Symbolic Link
The terminology I am using relates to the symlink tool called HardLinkShell which I attach a copy of in case you want to use it. It is a really simple Just unzip and then run the tool.
You may already use it, I don't now.
