dominique
Tim and Ken's Samoas is a very nice mix of a large airport (actually two with NSFA) and smaller rather challenging strips. Not really bush but challenging if you fly an aircraft like the RealAir Duke. The crème de la crème is Ofu as it is very short. A case in point. The aircraft is heavily loaded to make things a little more challenging so I used almost the whole runway to stop this time (came a little high too). Let's rock n roll Island hopping at its best. Yes, I know a little too many pics ! Thank you for watching anyway, folks and happy flying in the Samoas. You don't have it ? Run and get it ! And thanks to Tim and Ken ! dominique
Thank you all ! Great set Dominique, love the colour in them, and you are a very brave man, putting the Duke down there Don Hey Don, you know the story about not being an old and a bold pilot ! Actually, a stabilized approach at a low speed does the trick and once on ground reverser help ! Now, I was lucky enough not to have a crosswind. Pbearsailor's post on another thread gave some ideas though... wysiwyg! Indeed !
