The Mediterranean Island Explorer - from Corsica to Elba

Easy to find the appropriate plane for such a tour - I would not be surprised if Jacques Yves Cousteau would have flown this course sometimes: From Figari over Corsica´s south coast, ...

... arriving at Porto Vecchio, with the famous beaches at the right hand side:

San Ciprianu beach in front...

Pinarellu and its beaches, ...

... and Olmucciu beach from the other direction, north of the Cavu river:

Approaching Sulinzara MB:

Moriani plage - a good place for pain chocolate after leaving the ferry...:

Bastia, approaching...

... and leaving ...

... towards Elba, ...

... and into Marina di Campo. Freeware upgraded by our lovely friends at Orbx. And I would say with the appropriate personal touch...

Long time ago, unfortunately. This was real exploring!

Perfect bird for your tour Gerold! Beautiful shots! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for watching and commenting. I am sure you noticed the King Air in the last shot, this is a static airplane from the Orbx airfield upgrade.

Ah, yes. That piece of vertical and horizontal stabilizer (I can't write "tail" here, can I?) immediately caught my eye ;)

Very interesting set...

Cheers

Excellent set Gerold.

Brings back memories of Sunday nights on BBC 2(I think) eagerly anticipating the latest Jacques Cousteau adventure.

The first thing I noticed in the last shot was the King Air, nothing else much to look at in that shot.

Superb set Gerold, it seems that we have a common passion for Corsica (smile). Orbx airport at Marina di Campo is very pleasant as well, I did not you they include hotty girl textures as well....I am going to download LIRJ this weekend.

Superb views here all the way Gerold - and indeed:

The B200 really sticks out clearly there ...

I see we all have the same professional simmers attitude. I was notified there is some scenery in the last pictures, partly blocking the visibility of the B200, but you naturally focused on the important views.
