Stillwater
Here we are approaching a place that probably every Orbx-simmer has visited: From Aberdeen across the Hoquiam River into Bowerman airport. I could have parked here... but went next to my colleague ... ... to make up for a comparison shot. The Pilot´s Lounge in the sim... ... has already changed slightly in the past 10 years. At least I could park my rental car in the sun... ... before I went on a bit towards Grays Harbour Wildlife Refuge. Turning back towards the not-so-crowded airport... ... and checking the airport utilities. Then I went back to Lana´s famous Cafe... ... only to see it has gone. It took me a bit more than 10 years between discovering this place in Orbx and in reality. Changed, but still absolutely fantastic. Keep in mind: This is 10 year old freeware. And made with so much precision and details! 6

Pukcip
I love this little airfield and it was my home when using P3D. I’d love for it to come to MSFS and would snap it up in a heartbeat. Great little pic series. 1

Those were the days when I first saw Orbx sceneries, and I was blown away to what this did to improve FSX. 10 hours ago, Pukcip said: I love this little airfield and it was my home when using P3D. And I even went there to stay for 2 nights!
andiflyit
Nice set Gerold, the airport was a nice place to fly even in FSX, always very good framerates and great landscape.

Indeed Andy. This scenery was / is a brilliant example how flight simming puts a formerly unknown place onto our virtual world map. And, in this case, even onto my real one.
