The day started so well. Was going to enjoy the scenery...

The weather became more typical of a Scottish autumn day. 'Dreich' as the locals would call it

I'm sure I was VFR...

Good thing it started to clear, Barra doesn't have an ILS or any other radio marker, just some runway marker posts

Anyone want to build some sand castles whilst waiting for their luggage?
(note the GSX crew shuttle bus sent for a crew of just 3 on the DHC-6-300).

Nice shots, so the airfield is  really an air beach.:)

Very cool shots of a neat "airport".

Thanks!

Great set of shots

Thanks guys!

Not your typical beautiful vista screenshots.
Flying isn't always in perfect weather and that was the case here as I was considerably buffeted around.

Very nice shots and the meaning of the word "dreich" immediately reveals  itself just by looking at it.

Thanks.

I do like it when words in another language carry across to convey their meaning. Sometimes I find them better than the English equivalent!
