And Culver, Oregon down below which is  about 100 mi. from Portland
Not a big place, about 1508 in 2017. It is on a high desert plateau just north of Bend.
If you like outdoor activities its a grand place to visit. And our Jack would like it - they get a lot of snow in the winter months :)

Its a short distance from Madras which has the Erickson Aircraft Collection which has 20 vintage aircraft housed in a World War II hangar.  ( https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/erickson-aircraft-collection )

These are neat R!  And to think, this plane could easily fly from the UK to do this.

Thanks Jack

It is amazing to think about it. It could indeed!!

I remember seeing "mine" at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford. It is one impressive bit of machinery!

High up for you but the same beautiful world.  Will we ever see that 'Vulcan' in 'Vulkan'?

Of course we will.

It will be called XPlane 12 and we will have to buy it all over again B)

Got to see the Vulcan in flight back in the day up at Goose Bay, Newfoundland. Man, is that a graceful plane on the ground as much as in the air. Beautiful shots, Renault. Perfect ORBX scenery for the capture. Thanks!

Thank you Rodger

As I said to Jean Marc (above) I saw mine at IWM Duxford. It is just fantastic. But what I wouldn't give to hear and see one in flight. Priceless!

Pete, when I saw them up in Goose Bay, they were still active duty. I have two strong memories -- one, how menacing they looked on takeoff and climb. All warrior business. Two, how awfully loud they were on takeoff. Literally earth-shaking. Beautiful, beautiful plane.
