P3Dv4.4 - first impressions - P-40

With neither PTA nor Tomato-Shade having been updated yet, I must admit that I'm struggling a bit with "default" P3D lighting. It's either grubby or bleached out, depending on the camera angle.

Great for "dramatic" shots, but I can't seem to get a decent balance for fair weather. Anyway ... here are some overcast/dramatic shots, taken (if you can believe it) near mid-day on a summer's day (over NZNI):

See how it's simultaneously muddy *and* pale/washed out? Where are my lovely deep ORBX NZNI greens?

Over Ardmore, NZAR:

Nice, but still sort of "lifeless" ...

Another summer's day (!!) - but I do like this one (near Thames, Coromandel):

Yep

Bleached.

Be interesting to see what the 'same' shots look like after PTA & TS get updated & you have another crack at it.

I persuaded TS to work - and got things looking "normal" again - but it breaks the PBR lighting model. I'm curious to see if PBR actually does anything spectacular, so I'm leaving things kosher for now - at least till either PTA or TS get properly upgraded.
