Cheers John Thanks John, what about the arrows though. A bow is no use without the arrows. The thought of a bow and arrows is making me quiver with excitement. Oh, the penny has dropped. A BOW and not a bow. Geez, the English language is so confusing.

How things are so different today! Some familiar names there, Hurn, Weybridge and Wisley. We lived very close to Wisley and along with the beautiful piston liners heading off from LHR, my early days were full of the Vickers planes testing and coming to and fro from Wisley! First Viscounts, then Vanguards, and finally the VC-10 all doing circuits and other test flights. Scimaters and Valliants were also other planes I can remember occasionally visiting. We went to the Vickers factory in 1962 and were lucky enough to go onto a TCA Vanguard although the finished VC-10 prototype G-ARTA could only be viewed from the outside. Great days indeed, aviation wise!
