FTX AU, Trees(bushes), OZx(Flunkeys), FSX, Freeware SAAB 340, ASN, REX TD EE. 1. At YFDF Fortescue Dave Forrest Airport. 2. Fully loaded the old SAAB took a while to get off the runway. 3. HD engaged in the AP at a random 230 degrees. 4. The Fortescue's Metal Cloud Break Mine. 5. YFDF can just be made out under the nacelle, the sheer size of the mine can clearly be seen . 6. YBRY and Yandi Mine. 7. Some of the rock formations of The Pilbara 8. YANG and the West Angeles Mine. 9. Heading into some bad weather. 10. One of the many dry river beds of The Pilbara. Yeah, I didn't choose my words very well did I. Compared to Europe for example the scenery, as good as it is (just look at the rock formation in #7), is pretty sparse. I did a bus tour of the Red Centre back in 1983. We stopped on the side of the road for tea to be brewed up and there was nothing but flat rocky sandy ground into the distance in all directions. I took a photo and a Canadian man asked me why I took it as there was nothing there. I said to him that is exactly why I took it. There are not many places where the scenery is so featureless.
