Wonderful views of a beautiful plane and good to see that they work in v4.

Hope that the Citabria, Spitfire and P60 Duke work too, all top class add ons.

I'm hoping the others work as well, I never thought I would see the Duke again. :D  Thank you Martyn. :)

Hi Adam,

thank you for the pictures, that gave me hope to run my favorite Duke even in P3DV4. And what should I say: IT WORKS!!!

But tell me how did you get the GTN750 running. As far as I know the V4-Version is not ready yet.

Simply copying the Duke-Folder in the P3DV4 simobjects/airplanes-folder didn't do the trick. I see the GTN750 but it stays black and I can't get int in full size..

Greetings from Munich

Alexander

Update: I've just checked the Flight1 website and: BINGO!!!!

Great shots Adam and regarding the sound you have to exchange the Doug Dawson soundset for the 64 bit version here is how to do it.

The Doug Dawson sound gauge has been released for P3Dv4.

I have a copy and it is attached.

It works as a direct replacement for the 32 bit gauge, so just rename it to
whatever the developer used, copy it over the existing 32 bit version and
you will have all your sounds back.
For example, the freeware Manfred Jahn C47 uses C47_dsd_fsx_xml_sound.dll.
Once renamed, copy it into the panel folder and let it overwrite.

If you don't have the aircraft, you should, it is pretty much the definitive
version of this iconic aircraft and has features seen only at the very top
end of payware models.

You can fix the Real Air Duke the same way, rename the gauge to
RASduke_Sound.dll and put it in the P3D gauges folder.

Anything you might have that uses the DSD_FSX_XML_Sound.gau,
rename the new version to DSD_FSX_XML_Sound.dll, delete the original gauge and
put it in your gauges folder.

Thank you for the fix Ruud, I'll check it out tonight. :)  I was meaning to get the C-47, I had it in FSX, great plane indeed.

I have both the Turbo Duke and the GTN750 for P3DV4, but in the manager, the GTN doesn't show up.

Can you point me to a how-to for putting the GTN into the Turbo Duke?

Pretty easy Darem, just open the Duke V2 config on your desktop and select the 750 in the panel section. Have a problem let me know. :)

Delighted to hear that the Duke can survive and prosper in P3D V4. It was my all-time favorite, and I was quite saddened I had to put it out to pasture. Now will lead it back in!

Best,

Lucky :)

She works great Lucky except for some cockpit sound problems, but Ruud was kind enough to post a fix as posted above. :)

Adam, could you PM me and tell me the exact steps you used to install the Duke and have it see the 750?  I had it installed but no matter what I did it wouldn't see it.

Thanks.

Jack there is a new version called GTN Complete Edition (GTN 750 and 650) they are giving you the 650 for free. Be sure and download the coupon if you had a previous version, it will only coast you 20 bucks. Don't forget to download the Visual Studio 2013 redistributable package: vcredist_x86.exe, there is a link at the F1 site.

As for the Duke and config editor, just direct the installer to the P3Dv4 folder, that's all there is to it. Don't forget Ruud's cockpit sount fix as posted above. :)

I have the same problem also. Cannot see the GTN650/750 in the Realair config tool. Info would be much appreciated on how to rectify this.

Thanks.

Make sure you have the config editor directed to the P3Dv4 folder, it should work providing you have the new F1 Complete Edition installed.

Hi Adam, yes, already had it.  Got it for $20 like you said but can't get it into the Duke no matter what I do.

The Control panel just says none or the default 530.

I gave up and bought the 310 from MilviZ as I wanted at least one light twin.
