bernd1151
Our flight plan for today is from Whitehorse to Juneau It’s 8:00 am and some minus 7 degrees Celsius. We don’t have snow yet in Whitehorse, but we’ll expect plenty on route. With a lot of sputtering, coughing and smoke belching the three engines slowly coax to life. This is none of this instant-on nanny computer controlled stuff and the pilot knows exactly, when it’s time for his priced baby to be finally up and running Slowly, yet gracefully the Ford takes to the skies Yes, we might be slow and old, but we are hard working and dependable Occasionally we are forced to open the windows despite the freezing temps to check on the engine gauges No modern jet offers such a cozy and classy ambience Flying in such majestic surroundings can be quite a humbling experience But you also know, if something happens out here, you are on your own And then Juneau comes finally into sight Back on terra firma Thanks for viewing and I hope you liked our little adventure tour

TigerTigerM
Excellent set Bernd. 3rd down front on reminds me of a Bird of Prey. Is this your repaint? [I haven't got across all the CR1 set yet] TTM
Jack Sawyer
That was outstanding Bernd! I loved all of it, the narration was brilliant. Some look like real photos. And yes, they traveled in style and class back then.
VH-KDK
Top class flight and shots Bernd. Looking at the cockpit walls I don't see too much sound proofing or insulation. Must have been a cold and noisy old plane to fly in.
Iain Emms
Fine shots. cheers Iain

andy1252
Very Wow indeed! Lovely shots and a fine looking 'plane. Mind you, I look at that bird and think "and people worry about going up in the Gee Bee . . ." - the wing engines look like they're barely attached to the rest of the 'plane. Jethro VH-JET
Lovely shots Bernd, the adventure was Grand for sure. Great old rust bucket, interesting interior coachwork, but can you please return my copy of "Wing Walkers" monthly, its on the seat next to you.
