East coast eco-inspection (part 1/2)

The close proximity of intense exploitation and natural beauty needs continous monitoring. The Jacques Cousteau Foundation is willing to face this work. Starting from Rockhampton...

... East End Mine, looks normal.

Aldoga Mine, seems to loose lots of iron minerals into the surface water.

Gladstone, where the coal is directly transformed into CO2. Air samples will be taken here.

But Tannum Sands directly at the coast looks more than suspicious. We need to take water samples...

A bunch of industial complexes here...

... with Heron Island just a jump away, ...2016-1-23_15-55HeronIsland.jpg

... and One Tree Island also close by. The next sampling point, water is to be checked for residues.

Business here is different, ...

... and this is not only a place with nice palms. (See part 2, to be published soon...)

This is the world we live in.

Wonderful set of shots Gerold.

Some magnificent coral scenery and some impressive industrial sites visited.

I hope the bottom hasn't rotted out of your Cat after landing in the toxic soup.

I´ll have to wait for the analysis of the soup to know its corrosive effects. However the Cat is reinforced with stainless virtual steel.

It was great! Great weather, very warm, not much snow but great skiing conditions. And of course a fantastic landscape! :) Some comparison shots of RL and FSX will come soon. ;)
