The single Comanche - at last in July
John Heaton replied to John Heaton's topic in General Discussion
the only reason to keep P3D in my experience - was the A2A Commanche - soooh! just a few more days to Nirvana in MSFS - Accu-Sim Comanche 250 MSFS Screenshots - The A2A Simulations Community Which only leaves me to say goodbye forever to P3D - and how many GA aircraft will now be defunct in MSFS -
I have just received an email inviting me to fly the Blackwing on X Box Following the prompts takes me to Central - for the purchase etc - and where it states that I will "need Central to download install this" does this mean that Central now has a method of downloading to X box - or if I buy this from central - how do I get it into X box having purchased it from Orbx ----- and not the marketplace Or - is the money wasted - if I only have an X BOX

Prepar3D v6.0 Features and Enhancements
John Heaton replied to robpol471's topic in General Discussion
As simple as I can get it - RE-INSTALL ALL - following the topic in Avsim - seems most will work - if they don't - then I won't bother since it was Orbx that made the sim for me -
Prepar3D v6.0 Features and Enhancements
John Heaton replied to robpol471's topic in General Discussion
It looks as if from Rob's summation - that I would be able to fly all my old aircraft in this new one - then it might be worth spending a few bucks on the new sim I really miss aircraft like the Navajo - Saratoga - A2A fleet I had - etc - and even the Comanche despite the new one coming this month My other big question would be - Orbx True Earth where I had the full bottle offered PS - forget the A2a aircraft - I have just read elsewhere that A2A will not support V6 and dont think that their aircraft for V4/5 will work in V6 correctly -
Good for you Mate - I keep eating Shredded Wheat for my breakfast - but my speed is slowing down - and not just my internet

Wain -- if I were to answer this question based on my early 34 years in the UK and where do I go to when I come over there - it also would be the Cotswolds' My Great Grandmother was born there -and many an annual camp in the Boy scouts - and the villages are beautiful. Here's a copy of my 2nd oil painting of the famous Castle Combe village

Just an suggestion Sascha - you probably have been working with up-to-date scenery of the airport - the surrounding Bing scenery is circa 2013 - and so much has changed in the area since then - take look at the latest Bing satellite - and compare the 2 to see if that might help in some adjustments.

Thanks Ken - the FB is a Short Sunderland that was flown by Ansett Airways from Sydney Harbour to various destinations in New South Wales especially to a place on the Northern Rivers called Grafton - landing on the river there If look at the harbour of Sydney - in the flight planning section of MS you will see a "runway" laid out for the Flying Boats - and that is the pic in the video opening

1950's - how some of us remember things as they were before glass screens - and why we grab the old birds offered in the flight sims - whether P3D - XP - or MSFS who is catching up. How many can you identify in the video The airport - most shown - is Sydney - or as it was known back then - Mascot Who remembers the way we used to flight plan - in my case 1970

Always use the Snip and Sketch App in windows - you can also make some accurate mods if you are not too happy with the results

The single Comanche - at last in July

Maybe 2024 might bring it to us both and then again - Pigs might Fly -
the news that many of the older pilot brigade have been waiting to hear please do watch the video and be astonished at the level A2A have gone to - to give us a aircraft that I enjoyed flying around in and in which I carried my family some 50years ago

2024 - some more info that might ease the worries of not knowing of what it is all about MSFS Keynote at FlightSimExpo 2023 - Twitch

Thanks Wayne ---- no need to call me SIR - I was only a simple signalman/private in my National Service

Sheesh - I just worked out that I have spent $125 in the last 2 weeks on marketplace I see that Orbx have a sale at the moment - but not much for 2020 - BUT - if one goes to the marketplace - there is a raft of Orbx stuff at well reduced prices - for all those PC and X box users - but make sure that the software will fit the X Box

Another Senior technical question
John Heaton replied to John Heaton's topic in The Neil Hill Memorial Lounge
Too expensive for me - can't really see the use - I'd rather buy a new aircraft like the twin Commanche which I have done but I will soon need the plastic again in july for this baby that we have waited some time for -

For John Heaton and all the other Gold Coasters

I don't know about liking it - a script by a typical jealous Pommy - but it was like this and known as the Glitter Strip - and still is except that the airport you saw in the video and the aircraft are little bigger and faster Yes! The strip was like this in 1950 - and - yes 1 in 3 Australians dreamed of spending a week's holiday here and were prepared to travel 500 or 1000 miles from Sydney and Melbourne to do it Me - the wife and 5 kids did it first in 1972 from Melbourne - driving for 2 days to get here and the same back - for a stay of 2 weeks until we discovered Noosa - just 200 miles North on the Sunshine Coast - and eventually living there in 1986 - moving to here - GC - in 2005 As you all well know - I constantly winge over the fact that that Microsoft are still using Bing sats for the sim that is over 10 years old which means that none of you - have any idea of what The Gold Coast looks like today It better than the video - - the coast gets something like 20 million visitors per year and at least 1 million of those - are Pommes and Germans coming here instead of Europe and Majorca - although - I believe Cyprus has taken over from Spain - unfortunately. -
Auscene our favourite Aussie developer of local airports have a freebie download of their GSX at Hamilton which downloaded gives a file - and the install advice says this - Install Path: %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS Credit: Impulse Simulations Where do I find to place the file??

For some reason - although I have been handling PC problems for 40 years - I just cannot get my head around these mobile phones and Tablets that run on Androids - or should that be Steroids I bought the wife a new tablet to replace an aging Samsung one - and which I thought I would use it in conjunction with the PC in the sim for say - PDF's - or Checklists etc. - but I am lost Can someone please help an old dodderer as to how to get such things on a tablet using Android? I do use a second monitor for little map - or checklists etc - but those of course are via Windows

You will certainly need the checklists and manual Bristol Type 188 Flaming Pencil for Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS
