  1. Probably all that stillwater quoted for Australia but one memory always stays with me That many times during my 2 year Solo Pacific sailing odyssey - in my 70s Dolphins quite often stayed with me for hours - maybe they were mermaids
  2. We sometimes do the ordinary - differently
  3. This was the real deal at the show
  4. Big event this weekend on the Gold Coast - with the Pacific Airshow coming to Australia for the first time outside the US Soooh -- I thought I would dust off my trusty Magpie hornet and share the Coast show with you
  5. Really enjoyed the whole video - thanks for sharing. I actually remember the Berlin Airlift quite well - being a teenager interested in flying and watching aero planes at Ringway airfield - now Manchester Airport
  6. Malta was the halfway stop on the way to Cyprus - to refuel - and empty the bladders of 35 soldiers I'll complete the retro flight at the weekend - with a boring overwater flight via Crete have you booked your balcony for the Air Show ??
  7. Took the old lady on a route she probably never flew from Southend to Malta - reprising my DC4 flight in 1956 take look at the reflections
  8. don't know whether this answers your question or not John - because I use 2 set ups My PC is hard wired /ethernet - and in the same room I have another set up for my X Box and that is only served by my wi-fi box all on one room on the upper floor with the main supply downstairs in the lounge with the TV on ethernet My ethernet runs at 100Mbs / 11megs per sec - on the TV and PC - and strangely enough - my x box gets the wi-fi down at the same rate downloading games from Games pass at 11megs/sec - the same as the Ethernet
  9. In the last 2 months - MSFS has made this old pilot happy - single Comanche - twin Comanche - DC's 3 and 6 (a pretend DC 4) - Boeing Stratoliner - Ford Triple Motor French FB - Bonaza and Barons ------ and so on - all steam and very little autopilot stuff - just basic navaids Now all I want to really make my day is P31 Navaho - PA 32/350 - and a Viscount/Vanguard and I will definitely put P3D and XP in the garbage bin
  10. Sheesh Mate - my thoughts go with you - I had a similar activity a few years back - my brother died 5 days before he was found
  11. Just as Treetops said - align the HSI - - i found out the same prob - and then looked at the whiskey compared with the HSI - Dumb Also just ensure that you don't have MSFS options turned on - this aircraft doesn't need any help - and I found out after 3 aborted flights that I had trim assist - and I was all over the sky like the big dipper
  12. Just expanding on Graeme's WINTER report - today is 23degrees C daytime temp - cloudless sky - and it will be 10 degs tonight
  13. yeah !! - me too - waited too long for this baby - to stick to my ideals/principles - when it comes to where - or when - to purchase twice I'm 88 next month - so I called it an early birthday pressie to myself - and 50 years to day since I first flew one of these old ladies just love all the new paint schemes turning up on FS.to
  14. and the marketplace just in case it crops up in X Box
  15. the only reason to keep P3D in my experience - was the A2A Commanche - soooh! just a few more days to Nirvana in MSFS - Accu-Sim Comanche 250 MSFS Screenshots - The A2A Simulations Community Which only leaves me to say goodbye forever to P3D - and how many GA aircraft will now be defunct in MSFS
  16. I have just received an email inviting me to fly the Blackwing on X Box Following the prompts takes me to Central - for the purchase etc - and where it states that I will "need Central to download install this" does this mean that Central now has a method of downloading to X box - or if I buy this from central - how do I get it into X box having purchased it from Orbx ----- and not the marketplace Or - is the money wasted - if I only have an X BOX
  17. As simple as I can get it - RE-INSTALL ALL - following the topic in Avsim - seems most will work - if they don't - then I won't bother since it was Orbx that made the sim for me
  18. It looks as if from Rob's summation - that I would be able to fly all my old aircraft in this new one - then it might be worth spending a few bucks on the new sim I really miss aircraft like the Navajo - Saratoga - A2A fleet I had - etc - and even the Comanche despite the new one coming this month My other big question would be - Orbx True Earth where I had the full bottle offered PS - forget the A2a aircraft - I have just read elsewhere that A2A will not support V6 and dont think that their aircraft for V4/5 will work in V6 correctly
  19. Good for you Mate - I keep eating Shredded Wheat for my breakfast - but my speed is slowing down - and not just my internet
  20. Wain -- if I were to answer this question based on my early 34 years in the UK and where do I go to when I come over there - it also would be the Cotswolds' My Great Grandmother was born there -and many an annual camp in the Boy scouts - and the villages are beautiful. Here's a copy of my 2nd oil painting of the famous Castle Combe village
  21. Our Whitsunday 74 Islands - sailed in them for 3 years - you can go there via Hamilton Airport this a panorama of the famous Hill Inlet
  22. Just an suggestion Sascha - you probably have been working with up-to-date scenery of the airport - the surrounding Bing scenery is circa 2013 - and so much has changed in the area since then - take look at the latest Bing satellite - and compare the 2 to see if that might help in some adjustments.
