  1. HI all. On the "Winter Time Comes Early" thread, a fervid discussion of Australian Tim Tam tea cookies/biscuits has been unfolding. My wife, who is a dedicated tea drinker, saw the discussion and marched off to Amazon to try them. Our package arrived today. Very chocolate, very Australian, very good. Our next experiment will be "The Tim Tam Explosion" in which a Tim Tam is used as a straw to suck tea. If there are further uses for Tim Tams, I don't want to hear about them.
  2. Okay, you Aussie salesmen, my wife saw the pictures of Tim Tams and. being an enthusiastic tea drinker, marched off to Amazon and ordered a pack. Cost as much as two kangaroos and a wallaby, but, by golly, we are going to try your Tim Tams. Thanks a lot!
  3. So much for shrimp on the BBQ today. Better switch to penguins.
  4. You have a great sense of humor and you are a good Forum friend. Try that on for size
  5. Hi all. In an Amazon review of my first novel, ROORD: To War in a Rubber Duck: Volume I: The Air War, a gentleman said "I am 89 years old and I venture to say this, of the many books I have read, is my favorite, next to the Bible." I have been walking tall every since--what a compliment! Which leads to this week's topic. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: What compliment or compliments have you most treasured over the years?
  6. May all go well in the year to come. Happy Birthday, Misha.
  7. Great playlist, Adam. Thanks for sending it to us.
  8. Hi all. Having spent almost two decades with Fritz the Clown Prince, our beloved Manx cat, I am quite sure that animals have a sense of humor. Which fact leads us to this week's topic. THIS WEEK'S MEANINGLESS TOPIC: Why is this cat laughing?
  9. Time marches on. Happy day after your birthday, John, and a good year ahead.
  10. OND, I hope you are talking about XP11 and not yourself!
  11. I recently went back to P3D4 and all-Orbx scenery, including Global, LC, and regionals. I'm using two local airports--Bonner's Ferry and Idaho Falls--and loving every minute of it. I still think Orbx scenery is cream of the crop. No, really.
  12. Uncles Bill Roberts and Al Crumbaker, USN, Pacific War. Friend Dick Hostikka, US Army, Viet Nam.
  13. Hi all. Here in the USA, this weekend is Memorial Day weekend. On Memorial Day, we Americans honor those who died in service to country. That fact leads to this week's topic -- which actually is not meaningless at all, but rather deeply meaningful. THIS WEEK'S TOPIC: who do you honor on your nation's equivalent of Memorial Day?
  14. Research for my second novel included several books about conditions in post-war Germany. One brave woman indeed, TuFun. I'm glad she's with a loving son at this stage of her life. Well done, Sir.
  15. Me too on the above. I know it's a matter of sales economics, but I'm still hopping up and down with excitement for the Asia release date. Lots of places I want to fly there, and Orbx LC would make them so much better.
  16. Thanks for the reference, Pete. I'll add it to the must-use list.
