Yesterday - I took a flight ex Liverpool - Northwards towards Glasgow in the FSR 500 - with local weather and time set
As I was passing over Morecambe - I was struggling to keep my flight path - and the chase view and heading showed my A/C at almost 20 degrees
to starboard
I looked at the wind strength and it was 65Knots from 200 degs and I was only at 6000 feet😱 - (and I didn't try to land at Glasgow)
I never got that in P3D
I made exactly the same experience two days ago flying the Caravan from Newcastle up to Edinburgh. Flew almost sidewards and landing into the wind took for ages with only 45 kts groundspeed. Unlike when you flew the wind came from port side though. 🤔

I personally do not care a s..t about airport interiors.
And for those who do, MS/Asobo should consider to release MSAS (MS Airport Simulator).
And maybe there eventually will be JustFlight, JustTrains and JustAirports.😉

Ditto!
Is this the same dev who did Harvey? I really like that one too
He and Heiko also did the first PNW airports namely Concrete and Darrington for FSX back in the days. Both already have been ported to MSFS.

Be on the look for Ultimate Simulations 😉
We are near finished with the GSX Stairs which will go handy for flying there
Thanks! 🙂

I think the biggest complaint should be the difference clearly shown in the pics that display water masking. Clearly not visible in your pics but displayed in the product site promo.
The rest of any colour differences etc is going to be always determined by the user and his/her settings and hardware and any3rd party addition.
Exactly my thoughts too Jon.

@wain71 + @Stillwater - Originally - the name was Southport - and still is officially - but as time went by - the thousands of visitors that came
to enjoy the miles of GOLDEN Sands and the Surf Breaks - it became what it is today - a tourist Mecca - with high rises - canals - very similiar to
Miami
You might just spend a moment comparing this with the crappy 10 year old Bin produced on MSFS
Me thinks this pic is even older than the Bing imagery used in MSFS. At least in 2013, the last time I have been to Surfers Paradise, it looked much more densely built up.

Don't know if Orbx are working on it, however we are looking into this airport. Could be a few months before something goes public about progress.
That's great to hear. May I ask you, who is "we"?

So happy to see this Wolfgang, indeed John will be happy. My son has just got a job as a Ramp Agent there.
Cheers
Graeme
Good on your son for having got this job!
So you are also living at the Gold Coast?
PS: Now let's hope that also John's house will eventually find its way into MSFS.😀

@Stillwater Gerold, I assume you know thet you can make some adjustments to the default cockpit camera view via the General Options/Camera menu? Changing the "Height" value there migh thelp.
Edit: this of course affects all aircraft. So best to remember the preferred numbers for each aircraft.

Thank you Wayne!
I wish you, your family and all the others here on the forums also a Happy New Year with lots of luck and health! 🍀

Hm, had a second look at you pics and realized that there are also other differences, like e.g. the surf which can be seen in the last shot. And in the first comparison water masking is quite different.
-
For me it looks like the main difference between your shots and the one from the produkt Page is lighting/weather/time of the day, which of course has a big impact one how a scenery looks.
Take your second shot at noon under a clear sky and you will see.

Still clunky. In this day and age there must be a way for IT to group all together. Maybe it's deliberate?
17 hours ago, Matt McGee said:A "benefit" of scrolling through the whole list is that I sometimes stumble upon products that I would not have thought to search for.
It is probably deliberate, because it is mainly a benefit a for the seller, that custumers are buying things they did not itend to buy in the first place.
It is the same like many supermarkets are repositioning their selling goods on a regular basis only to force the buyers to stroll through the shelves finding the product they are looking for and this way coming across something they originally haven't ought to buy.

Arrrgh, it was too easy for you experts here! Wolfgang, do you have a new one or should we ask the group?
Unfortunately I do not have any shots I could post. So let's ask the group.

And that plane diving down on the fourth one

And the steep terrain behind the plane is also a hint for Milford Sound.

Well I bought it yesterday as it was so cheap. Have to say, massive improvement in Ireland. Although the Cliffs of Moher remain "meh". 🤐
Is the Republic of Ireland included in the UK mesh?

I like the extra detail in this product but I agree with wain that the support ticket way of dealing with issues does not alert others to possible problems and their solutions. I am not knocking Orbx or other developers but I have found this useful in the past. Anyway, this product is to be recommended - but then it is an Orbx product!
Hear! Hear!

I just experienced a minor MSFS update or probably patch, just a few MBs. Has anybody an idea what this is for? The release and support notes do not mention anything.
Thanks.

For the ordinary poster I think that depends on the number of posts made, starting with "Newbie" ending with "VIP Member". There are exceptions, e. g. like Rodger became a VIP membership rewarded only recently or like you have been a VIP when you have been with Orbx.
In your profile you will see the number of posts you have made so far and "Llife Member 5/6", indicating there is just one higher rank you can reach, namely "VIP Member", which is 6/6. For this you have to have 10,000 posts made, I think. The first Orbx member who had achieved this was Iain.
And for each rank there is a different batch, the blue one with the rocket (?) reserved for "Life Members".
Edit because of bad spelling.

That's what apparently the majority of simmers wanted. Just read the comments in this and in other threads.
