  1. Thanks Landon, Good for the sim but not so much in RL!
  2. Plenty of rain up there at the moment Gerold and a lot more to come over the next 6 months. That was my favourite ansett livery too, I miss flying n that great airline.
  3. Thanks Calum, not the sort of weather I would chose to fly in though.
  4. I should have chosen a Spirit jet!
  5. Thanks Jack, I do enjoy messing around with the weather.
  6. Thank you Paul. Yes it is good to see the old liveries from the past and thanks to the hard work of some very clever people.
  7. Thank you Andreas. Orbx did work on the Australian upgrade for 2020 and the Melbourne scenery is a separate pack from Central. It is the Asobo C152 which I also enjoy flying and as the scenery is Orbx throughout Australia I can use it. Splendid scenery though isn't it and knowing my way around the city a little does help.
  8. Thanks John, I will leave the air free for Jack for a while and come back and dowhat I was intending before I visited the sports grounds!
  9. Thanks Jack, they do call it the sports capital of the world but I am not sure how true that is. We are well known for liking sport.
  10. I have been to a few Boxing Day ashes matches in the 80s and the atmosphere was unbelievable. I have seen some great players from all countries in the tests and one dayers. The AFL football was magic too in the 80s and I was lucky enough to get to 3 Grand Finals. I now live 2 hours away but I am not interested in the modern game. I have also seen Rangers play a friendly game there too! Are you green or blue?
  11. Thanks Paul. A nice place to visit for the day and I have been twice in the last few weeks with the weather being perfect on both occasions. Duh Just noticed I have already commented Paul. Never mind, eh!
  12. Wonderful views of the city and nice to see the old Virgin colours again.
  13. Greatviews of Melbourne on a typical Melbourne day weather wise.
  14. Beautiful images from Vancouver and well flown too. I like the WestJet colours too It must give you a great feeling flying a complex jet like this, I will stick to my RV-14!
  15. Thanks Calum. It has been a long time since I have been and I have yet to see it in its current form. Hopefully one day you will make it as the atmosphere, especially when England is involved in the cricket, is something to behold.
  16. Those are some beautiful looking clouds Paul. A very smart Hawk as well.
  17. Good point Paul, especially when you think of 10 years ago and how far it has progressed.
  18. Thanks Paul. Not bad as cities go and plenty to do there if you visit.
  19. Another splendid set Paul. The quality of the plane and scenery is outstanding.
  20. A glorious series of views from your flight Darryl. Very impressive clouds as well as the great scenery.
  21. An absorbing set of wonderful images. So many great locations and a fine collection of planes too.
  22. My original intention was to fly around the breathtaking Melbourne scenery but flying above the Tullamarine Freeway I decided to find and show some of Melbourne's many sporting venues. 1. North of the CBD is Mooney Valley Racecourse in the suburb of Mooney Ponds. Home of the Cox Plate it is also a harness racing venue. The floodlights don't show up here but several night meetings are held every year. 2. Flemmington is the home of the race that stops a nation, The Melbourne Cup. The first Tuesday in November is the culmination of Victoria's Spring Racing Carnival which includes the famous race. 3. Docklands Stadium, with it's retractable roof, is a multi use stadium with everything from Australian Rules Football to music concerts. I totally refuse to utter it's current sponsors name for what it has done to it's age old comic characters. 4. In the centre of the pic is one of the world's 11th largest sporting ground, the Melbourne Cricket Ground or MCG or The G! Another multi purpose venue primarily used for Australian Football and Cricket. It has totally changed since I regularly went there in the 80s. 5. Another view of the G . Other stadia in view here are on the left bottom AAMI Park Football(roundball) stadium. To the right of that is the National Tennis Centre. Above that is the Vodafone (John Cain) Arena. The large white stadium is The Rod Laver arena and just visible above that is The Margaret Court Arena, named after Australia's greatest woman player who is currently being persicuted for her beliefs. A shame the old parkland has been built on but it has provided a world class tennis complex. 6. Albert Park with it's lake and the venue for the annual Melbourne F1 Grand Prix. 7. Above the Monash Freeway is the Kooyong Tennis Centre which held the Austraian Open Tennis until 1988 8. A last view of Melbourne CBD and Docklands Stadium at dusk.
  23. A new bird Don. There was me thinking you had got a new lady friend on the quiet! Wonderful images of your Kodiak and I hope you enjoy it. Some splendid images around Brisbane too.
  24. Welcome to YSHT Jack, we don't get flying boats at the airport too often. From what I hear the people in Wagtail Drive are none too pleased with you driving through their neighbourhood. You are most welcome to come again but maybe in a more conventional flying machine next time. A suggestion would be a flight to Wangaratta over Kelly country.
  25. Those are great images Jack and thanks for the heads up on the Simple Traffic. Being Simple it should suit me down to the ground!
