  1. Hello,
sometimes this is the only solution to a problem.

    1. Open: Orbx Central\Settings\Downloader and note the location of the temporary files.
In Windows File Explorer, go to that location and delete the Orbx folder.

    2. Close Orbx Central and uninstall it, using the Windows Control Panel

    3. Delete:

    C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\orbx-central-updater and

    C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\Orbx\Central

The appdata folder is hidden by default, so if it is, you will need to visit the Windows File Explorer
view settings and tick “Show hidden files, folders and drives”.

    4. Reinstall Orbx Central from this link:  https://orbxdirect.com/central

    Hello,

customers may see this error message when trying to add an existing Orbx Central Library back into Orbx Central.

    Here is the workaround.

    1. Close Orbx Central.

    2. Rename your Orbx Central Library folder by adding X to its folder name.

    3. In the same location, create a new and empty folder using the same folder name, but without the X.

    4. Open and use Orbx Central to create a new Orbx Central Library and point that new library to the new and empty folder.

    5. Close Orbx Central again.

    6. Delete the new and empty folder and then remove the X from the original folder name.

    7. Open Orbx Central and you have your new Orbx Central Library, containing all of your existing products.

Please note that it may take a while for Orbx Central to count the folders and files in the new Library,

so the total size may not be correctly reported straight away.
This has no effect on the way that it works.

  3. Hello,

Orbx products that are not available to install using Orbx Central do appear to work
in X Plane 12, although they will not have any of the X Plane 12 enhancements.

Here are four ways to load all of your Orbx products into X Plane 12.

    Method 1.

To be used if you do not have X Plane 11 or any Orbx products installed.

    Go to C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local.

    There you will see x-plane_install_12.txt

    Rename it to x-plane_install_11.txt

Open Orbx Central and it will recognise your X Plane 12 installation as X Plane 11.

You can then install any previously uninstalled Orbx products.

When you have finished, rename the text file back to x-plane_install_12.txt

    Method 2.

To be used if you no longer have X Plane 11 installed.
It requires that you have installed your Orbx products into an Orbx Central Library.

    Go to C:\Users\your name\AppData\Local.

    There you will see x-plane_install_12.txt

    Rename it to x-plane_install_11.txt

Open Orbx Central and it will recognise your X Plane 12 installation as X Plane 11.

    Run Orbx Central\Settings\Help\Sync Simulator.

When you have finished, rename the text file back to x-plane_install_12.txt

    Method 3.

To be used if you have both X Plane 11 and X Plane 12 installed.

It requires that you have installed your Orbx products into an Orbx Central Library.

You will see x-plane_install_11.txt, temporarily rename it to x-plane_install_11xx.txt.

    Rename x-plane_install_12.txt to x-plane_install_11.txt

Open Orbx Central for X Plane 11 and run Sync Simulator.

Rename the two text files back to x-plane_install_11.txt and x-plane_install_12.txt

    Method 4.

To be used if you installed all of your products into X Plane 11\Custom Scenery.

Copy or make links of all of the contents  of X Plane 11\Custom Scenery into X Plane 12\Custom Scenery

Note 1: this link appears to give the location of the x-plane_install_1x.txt file in OSX and Linux

How To Programmatically Locate X-Plane on the Hard Drive - X-Plane Developer

Note 2: now that Orbx Central does install some products into X Plane 12, do not install both X plane 11

and X Plane 12 versions of the same product into X Plane 12.

Note 5: In Windows, the appdata folder is hidden by default, so to see it, the user must select

"Show hidden files, folders and drives" in their Windows File Explorer View settings.

    Hello,
all of the history seems to have gone missing, I have asked where it might have gone but received no reply as yet.

  6. Hello,

please don't forget that in some cases, we are dealing with airports that were released
on the same day as MSFS was, such as LOWI and therefore long before there were any
simulator updates that made things like selectable static aircraft possible.

In the particular case of LOWI, I understand that the whole airport is one model, so that

individual parts cannot be removed in any case.

I am also no airport developer but I can imagine that if an airport is to be designed with

selectable static aircraft, then that would need to be built in at the beginning, which is
probably why the option has not been offered for older products but is, for example,
being offered by Marcus during his redevelopment of existing ones.

  7. Hello,

as far as I am aware, there is no limit to the number of Orbx Central Libraries and they can of course all be given names of your choice.
As long as you are copying intact folders from one library to another library, Orbx Central will continue to see them.
The file structures must not be disturbed.

Is there a chance any of the Orbx team can look into this please? I got the feedback from the developer that the 3rd runway should be there a 100% and it seems like that Orbx central doesn't have the latest patch in the database.

    Hello,

please open Orbx Central and check which version is installed:

It does appear to have enough runways:

  9. Hello,

your Orbx Direct account log in and your Orbx Central log in are the same thing.

If you sent your support ticket in using one email address, you must monitor that email address in order to receive the reply.

The email address that you used to send the ticket is the same email that you have registered at Orbx Direct.

It is also the email address that you asked, in the ticket, to be assigned to your Orbx Direct account, but it had already been done,

    presumably by you.

If you need a hint, it includes "21".
