Yes, I have.
Please consult this excellent topic where you will find the solution to your problem.

As I understand, no.
The present installer will work if only FSX-SE is installed
but not if both are.
There is a very useful topic here
which explains how to make the present installer work with a dual installation.
By the way, your question is answered in the very first post in this topic..........

Luckily I have no hair left to tear out
How is it possible to modify the registry and STILL have ORBX write to the orginal FSX,scenery.cfg and not into the Steam version
I can't see any difference between your entries and mine.
One way to achieve what you have would be to have your
FTX Central shortcut still pointing to the one in FSX.
You need two versions of FTX Central as I am sure you know,
therefore two separate shortcuts.

No, I'm sorry I don't know.
I do have a copy of FSX SE and I have attempted to
install various products into it with mixed success.
I have now removed them again as they all work perfectly
well in FSX.
My decision is to wait until there are proper fixes for the
problems.

Yes it is, yes it has and yes there is.

Hello Teecee,
Until there is an "official" FSX.SE app,
have a read here, where there is
a workaround.

I also found it interesting that the "fix" is three times more expensive than the program it's self.

You seem to have overlooked this line in the post.
Alternatively there is a free shader fix for the lights
(not yet tested by us) over at AVSIM) -
http://library.avsim...php?DLID=185080
the link requires that one is logged in at the Avsim
Library or a search for shader_release_v3.2.3.zip
will lead to the same location.

I know nothing of FSX SE but I think it logical to assume that
since there is no problem with the lights in Dx9, FSX SE runs
only in Dx10.......
Temporary workaround for installing Orbx scenery with FSX:SE

If you install FSX Steam onto a clean OS, you won't need to change any registry entries,
they will be exactly the same as FSX, as will the external folder names.
The installers will all work as expected.
