I worked my way through college and graduate school by working

sports, work, military, hobbies, and so forth.

     Hello Rodger,
when I was at college, tuition was paid for by the taxes that my father and every other working man paid.
He even received a grant towards my living expenses.
Today, due I think to someone from the government over here years ago seeing how much money could be made out
of students over there, my daughter has had to amass £64,000 of student debt in order to qualify as a nurse.
Then the same governments (this is not a political point, they have all done it) that made it this way complain that there is a shortage of nurses.
It makes my blood boil. 😡

I must have lived a very sheltered life.
I wasn't good at sport at school and even today, I have little interest in it.
I lack the competitive element that seems to be needed to gain one over my fellow beings.
I have never been in the military, apart from cadets at school, though my son has and he has some very worthwhile friends as a result.
My main hobby is flight simulation, I used to fly online with a group and that went well until we gradually
drifted apart and in some cases, though not yet in mine, died.
    I do have other interests.
Like you, I have worked with some excellent fellow workers over the years and enjoyed being a part of those "teams".
Somehow though, we never seemed to keep in touch.
Really, I don't do acquaintances and I have a small core of true friends who are enough, beyond the mainly good people who I meet from day to day.

There is no 'contact support', or troubleshooting guide in the app.

There is no 'contact support' link to be found anywhere on the website 'orbxdirect.com' that I could see.

This forum seems to be the only way to - 'contact support' - albeit a crowd sourced one.

    Hello,
    welcome to the Orbx forums.

To address your concerns about the lack of 'contact support' links,
in both cases, you will need to scroll down or in the "app", resize
    the window.

Clicking on either the "Support" tab in the "app", or on the "Support" link at the website will take you to this web page:

where you can select the option you consider to be most appropriate and send in a support ticket.

This seems to replicate one of your screenshots:

though when illustrating scenery, it can be more useful to use another view:

You could try moving your Orbx Central "Main Library" out of the default location and away from Windows protected folders.

You can do that like this:

Which is an extract from the Orbx Central User Guide

I also commend this support forum topic to you:

I hope that John's reply and this one will dispel your impression that Orbx
    does not offer product support.

So Trimming regulary is safe - and useful t do ?

Yes to safe, useful, I really don't know, but it certainly does no harm.

All the simulators that Orbx sells products for are pretty much unaffected by drive performance,
except that the faster the drive, the shorter the initial loading time.
Once running, even the slowest drive will be able to deliver files much faster than the simulator can ask for them.

  4. Hello,
this is because of your choice of location.
Orbx Central measures the size of the folder and you have told it that
the folder is D:\, so it is doing as it is told to do, measuring the size of your D drive.

  5. Hello,
If the file structure of your Orbx Central Library is D:\p3dv5\All of the product folders,
then the path to the library should be set to D:\ in Orbx Central.
Orbx Central is looking for the p3dv5 folder but I think that you have told it to look for

    D:\p3dv5\p3dv5, which does not exist.

  6. Hello,
if you open the Orbx Central Libraries page, you will see the library locations
    that you have set.
See if they still match the actual locations and even if they do, check that there
is a p3dv5 folder with them all inside that.
