rockliffe
Unsure whether anyone else is experiencing this, but I'm finding it's taking forever for some of the pages to load after clicking on a topic title. Not all posts are slow to load but a large majority of them. Has anyone else noticed this? It's not my broadband as we are very fortunate to have a 7+Mb download speed. sangsom
Sometimes can't open one of the ORBX-Forums or topics at all. Sometimes if I'm in I can't leave it.Only a new start of the browser helps. Reported from Germany.
rockliffe
Sometimes can't open one of the ORBX-Forums or topics at all. Sometimes if I'm in I can't leave it.Only a new start of the browser helps. Reported from Germany. Sure, that's exactly what happens with me. Yesterday I think it was, I wanted to read a topic and waited for about a minute before I went off to do something else! Came back and there it was, loaded. So I think there is a problem, but maybe the guys don't know about it?

Not all posts are slow to load but a large majority of them. Has anyone else noticed this? It's not my broadband as we are very fortunate to have a 7+Mb download speed. I have been waiting many moons for someone to mention this - Orbx is the only site I have difficulty with on three different computers using five different browsers - my workaround is this: if the page does not load at normal speed (virtually instantaneously) I click the link furiously about ten times, like a machine gun, and more than likely it then loads on the count of two. 6297j
Same for me for the past few days. Right clicking on a subject or forum and opening it in a new window will load the page much faster than just clicking on it.
COBS
I had put that down to the recent hackers club , one of which was arrested in London . I assumed they had hit servers. Who knows the full extent of their targets , I hope the police arrest more of them. Cheers Karol

Bruce Hamilton
A computer is only as fast as its slowest peripheral, in this case, the server you connect to. If it sends out at 500K, thats what you get.
dogtrack
Have similar symptom myself. But had put it down to having just installed IE9 last week. Was presenting problems with online banks also. In my case was finding page freezes when clicking links to other pages/topics.
John Venema
There was a hiccup yesterday but that was the regular Thursday maintenance cycle using Jay's auto-script. For me though, it's been business as usual. Since I don't use Interweb Exploder, I am not sure if it's that browser. Try Safari or Chrome as alternatives. Jay Kae
I will look into it today, just as a general guideline though, the forums are performing within a 0.1% of the same time period last month and the month before. But it never hurts to look, I will get back in this topic
Aaron Myers
Seems to be intermittent hits, not something that strikes me as performance related. Things bop along just fine and then suddenly stall when clicking on something. As someone already noted if you click the same link again it will often load just fine after that. rockliffe
mmmm, not sure what's going on, I seem to have problems with other sites also. Mmm... If the majority of people are experiencing this and it's not just Orbx and it's across different servers...?? Well, is all our internet traffic going through GCHQ following last week's arrest of the young hacker?
