renault
Sometimes I think white is a color that flight simmers tend to avoid. So here is my approach to a little white jet. I like the counterpoint with the TE scenery coloration Cheers Renault I always try to use comments on my work positively as a learning opportunity. Jack @Jack Sawyerhad an interesting observation regarding clouds which definitely had a "popcorn" aspect to them. I thought about it and wondered if there was a better way to approach the problem . I wrote & "hacked" some code to make a little AI image recognition program I have work, with my holiday photos of cloudy scenes in Florida and the Caribbean. It basically analyzed some structural components of clouds and using them as training images I manipulated some basic data ref parameters from XPlane using a proxy relationship to try to create something a bit more realistic. So after about 15 hrs of compute time and a number of miss steps here is the result. The parameters from the analysis just become data ref values in XPlane Hopefully it looks a bit better. I enjoy retirement immensely - lots of time to play with zany ideas

olderndirt
As my instructor at Colorado A&M (now Colorado State) said 'white is not a color, neither is black but what's in between is pure magic'. He was correct as is my friend 'Pete' who continues to reveal the possibilties.
adambar
Funny you said that Pete, I was just sitting here analysing the structural components of the clouds myself. Well done, they look fantastic.
