This is London calling...

I want to share some screens I wanted to make for a long time now, even before TE GBS.

This is London but the FTX England version. Still a nice place to fly low. I normally fly at about 2000/2500ft over this city but I decided to go on "Thames" level.

1. The R-66 is a great helicopter to make this flight.

2. Not the every day weather, I know. :)

3. Just look at all the details and this all with a decent frame rate.

4. Ok, gaining height for the flight to Elstree.

5. Inbound. Amazing LC scenery here.

6. Hover taxi to my spot.

Cheers,

Ben.

So did I understand well and this is not true earth?

What are your settings?

This indeed is not TE but plain old FTX England with Buildings HD installed.

It's the latter which enhances the immersion.

My settings are most sliders to the right and all shadows and reflections ticked on.

Seems to become the time when an upgrade is to be thought of

Thanks Gerold.

You mean the hardware?

FYI, I have a i7 8700K @4.8ghz and core 0 on 5.0ghz. Video is a 1080ti 11gb and 16gb ram. P3D is running on a dedicated M.2 1tb SSD.

Cheers,

Ben.

That´s promising news, Ben. Not a totally new Ferrari with a 1000 EUR video card, and still showing these extraordinary results.

Yeah tell me. When I bought this computer two years ago, the seller was astonished at my request of certain parts in the computer. "You really need that???", he asked. :)

And look where we are now. The hardware evolves fast and still we are glad with 20-30 fps in our simulators.

Well, I hope future versions will get rid of the dreaded single core usage.
