Stillwater
Even without the upcoming OLC Africa Cape Town should be worth a visit. Here we go heading south from the airport... ... and over the beach to False Bay. The name of the bay is a tribute to those sailors who turned north after passing the wrong cape of South Africas southern tip: The real southernmost point is Cape Agulhas, a few miles to the east. This one here is more famous, but misleading for some navigators: The Cape of Good Hope. And I hope that we will see great improvements with OLC later this year... Getting back north to the town we cross the Table Mountain: This is the view from his top. I have set the time to early morning to avoid the classical cloud coverage. And that is the view back over harbourfront. With a helicopter it is just a short hop over to this place. In reality the way back from Robben Island took much longer for some: Nelson Mandela was imprisoned here from 1964 to 1982, followed by two other prisons until 1990.
