Departed into the wind which will now, hopefully, bring my groundspeed up to (be still my heart) 100 mph. Off to my right, the old Roman settlement named Londinium. The town of Maldin - makes the best UK sea salt. This waterway is named Blackwater Estuary - in Scotland it would be a Firth. Clacton-on-sea. In the fifties and sixties, before Europe recovered its vacation attractions, this was one of the many 'in-country' holiday coastal holiday destinations.
